Blues Prospect List: The Fab 50.

As mentioned in the March 23, 2006 issue of "St. Louis Game Time," following is the list of the Blues' "Fab Future Fifty," the fifty prospects whose vital stats are analyzed for the "By The Numbers" feature in that issue.

Let's start by quickly establishing the parameters used in this analysis. The criteria that all 50 prospects in the Blues' system were evaluated upon are as follows: Position, height, weight, age in years as of 15 March 2006 (the day I created the spreadsheet to crunch all these numbers), country of origin, and playing level for 2005-06 season.

Players like Chris Beckford-Tseu (a.k.a. "The Hyphenator") and Patrick Wellar are considered as ECHL players because that's where they've spent the majority of their playing time this year. Jesse Boulerice, Mike Glumac, and Trent Whitfield were considered as NHL players mainly due to their age, and due to the fact that they're all on the Blues' active roster as of this moment.
