as i watch the game from at home with my ticket in my wallet, i curse my hockey game tonight. i’ll be watching brewer closely and memorizing his game so i can understand what in the world andy murray sees.

I expect a Blues win tonight because the Panthers will be crippled by the absence of their “genius” coach, Mike Kitchen.

When you give the puck away in your D zone that many times you are eventually gonna pay. We just dont seem crisp so far tonight.

The crowd seems dead.

Power play is god awful.

Did I hear booing earlier when Brewer couldn’t hold the puck in on the power play?

Somebody needs to do something to liven this game and the fans up.

Finally, there have been times where it looks like Emmanuel is in a shooting gallery.

Anybody got stats on Vokoun’s win-loss record versus the Blues? It seems like this guy always stones them.

Pagan: He’s 7-0-0 in the last seven games. Insane.

That game was incredibly boring.

oh man… that game wasn’t worth the ticket price. And I paid $7.50 and ended up in the 8th row of the Plaza level. There was a lot of Brewer booing, though.

The only positive I see from the game is Barret – nice open ice hit after taking the stick in the face. He also seemed to bring his game up on the PPK and when the PP unit offense kept dropping the puck back or losing it to a Panther. I didn’t notice Dougie, Paulie & Bradley at all the entire game.
Couldn’t Paulie have give some insight on the Vok???

Was up in a big box for a Xmas party and it was good food, good people, free beer, the best cupcakes ever and a different perspective of the ice. Wouldn’t want to be up there every game but nice to see a different side.
Up there, again I saw Brewer fall down 2x for no reason, half-assed passes and a lack of energy. I don’t hate him for “replacing” Capt Dumbass, but I expected so much more so I guess it’s just the huge disappointment from him that I hate.

i don’t want to seem like a bandwagon jumper, but i agree with you, diana. it seems that a lot of brewer’s mistakes are from lack of energy or effort. i have infinitely more patience for being overly aggressive than making soft cross-ice passes in your own zone or a pitiful clearing attempt onto the tape of the opposing players. still, i just have to put faith in coach murray and j.d. that this will get worked out.

Is it me, or were the refs exceptionally bad the past few Blues games? I mean both sides too, Fla was screwed as well as the Blues. Granted, I was in 319 half way up, but the replays showed little in the form of actual penalties.

On a side note, do those Hardee’s promotions suck or what?

By the official NHL.com box, the Blues had 7 calls against for 14 minutes and the Panthers had 6 calls for 14 minutes.

By my unofficial count, that No. 43 sucked a ball all night and made some shitacular calls.

By the GT officials stats page, No. 43 – Brian Pochmara, has called 3 Blues games this year. In those games he has called 14 penalties against the opponents and 20 penalties against the Blues. In those games, the Blues are 0-3-0.

Oh, and another point: Brian Pochmara is from Detroit.

That guy is officially on my list.

a hot goaltender stymied the blues. it must be accpeted the refs are going to suck at any level in hockey. hardest game to officiate in sports. the blues great penalty killing needs to be able to produce some short handed chances as well as some goals. this is another knock on ryan johnson. he just doesn’t cut it. he plays hard and has a lot of heart which i appreciate but he’s not a difference maker in the positive side. here’s where a martin kariya would be great to have. his speed and scoring ability would maximize the fourth line’s ability to score and cycle.

eric brewer for a fifth round pick…done. where did you go joe—i mean steve wagner ohh oh oh, we miss you so steve wagner oh ohhh oh oh.
