Blues v Avs Game Day Thread
We're doing all kinds of holiday running around tonight, so an open thread might be all we get for the game against the Avs. This is Andy Murray's 81st game behind the Blues bench and he's going against the last good Blues coach in Joel Quenneville. By the way, Tuesday's home game is the 1 year anniversary for Andy Murray, so we're thinking it's a good day to celebrate.

Thank God I’ve been too busy to actually watch what’s going on tonight so far… I don’t even want to know just how poorly the team played in the second period.
What a waste of a two-goal performance by the oft-maligned Jay McClement.

Christian Backman took the night off. So did Eric Brewer. Backman’s been responsible for 3 of the Avs goals, Brewer 1, and Backes 1 for a half-assed clearing attempt.
Hannu has been deserted by his team. Kinda like in Calgary during that second period, except the Avs don’t have Keenan as coach and so they have a game plan.
No paint left on the visitors’ locker room wall after that piece of shit.

Cmon boys, lets make it a 9-5 game so we can leave with our heads high… j/k
Why does this have to happen when I have tix for Tues and Thurs.

Hah, they just did, thanks to Dutchie. Is it asking to much to dream for a 9-6 final score here?

If we traded Backman after tonight. Would anyone care?

Bäckman himself might have cared, but certainly no one else. Problem is we can’t get anything for him. Overpaid bastard.
9-5. Pretty pathetic.
Forget. Move on.

If the Blues play on the road and the game is televised and there is no live blog, does that mean the game even happened? Me thinks no.
So anyone who posts a comment in here about some fictional 9-5 loss (that’s not a real score, gotta be made up) is just trying to be funny and is not talking about anything that happened in the real world.
Right?

Marcus is right. Forget. Move on. The one person I hope can forget is Hannu. The entire team owes him an apology.

I’m just hoping that this officially starts the Trade/Waiver Watch for this group. Not just because of the game last night but because he is a pig-faced Euro who hasn’t lived up to his billing. Knock knock, Mr. Backman.

does’t matter what we can get for brewer or backman, just as long as i don’t have to see them donning a blue note ever again.

If Backman is not the healthy scratch along with Brewer, Murray is full of shit about his system for healthy scratches! I am in no way a Brewer hater but he did have a bad game last night.
I really think Matt Walker should get a chance to play. If he doesn’t even get to play after that giant sack of douche the defense put out there last night, just cut him. After giving up 9 goals they ought to consider scratching 4 defensemen from last night and put Polak and Ian Cole (I know this is not possible) in there.

WAIT A SEC, are you saying that resigning eric brewer to a new deal because of him looking ok for 45 days of this 3 years here might have been a mistake?!?
I’m shocked!

That’s two out of three games where the Note has been DESTROYED in the 2nd period. Toivy saved our asses vs Calgary, but couldn’t do it vs Colorado.
Sunday’s game was the Lord Voldemort of hockey games and should hereby by refered to as “It that shall not be remembered”.
