Knocked Out!

I have been dreading an accident like this for a long time. In the modern era, the most serious injuries have been stick- and collision-related. If a guy takes a big punch, falls funny, cracks his head and neck and dies during a game, what’s the league going to do? It only took one fan death to prompt the league to put the nets up behind the glass. Granted, that precaution was probably long overdue and I feel horrible for that little girl’s family, but the NHL has proven to be a reactionary league. IF they ever take fighting out of the game, the league will rue the day. It’s a part of the sport and always proves exciting.

The best way to avoid having your head bounce off the ice is to first avoid ramming it as hard as you can into someone else’s cement-like fists.

I haven’t seen a lights-out K.O. like that in awhile. Petrovicky just knocked him out cold. Sweet ;)
