Legace In Nets For Two More.
By Sean Gallagher
In another no-brainer move, the Blues today announced that Manny Legace has been re-signed for two years.
The move gives the Blues their first period of time with a no-question starting netminder for the first time since Grant Fuhr wore the slanty-stripes and horn-on-shoulder togs.

No word on whether the contract includes a "No shooting at my head in practice" clause.

Ok smart guys, what does this mean for the goaltending stable? I assume that Sanford is leaving, and either Bacashihua or Schwartz to carry Manny’s bags next year. But what about the futures of Beckford-Tseu and Bishop? Does that make them tradable at next year’s deadline if the Blues are buyers?

I’ll pretend I’m a smart guy. I see this for Blues goalies in 2007-08:
STL:
Legace
Bacashihua
Peoria:
Schwarz
Beckford-(boy named) Tseu
U-Maine:
Bishop
Deadline, March 2008 available goalies:
Bacashihua, Beckford-(boy named) Tseu
And no one is interested in B-T. He strikes me as the bottom guy in this deal. I think the team is high on Schwarz as the franchise goalie in waiting and Bishop as the local boy-fan favorite as the two to watch.
