That was a short-lived suspension.

Tkachuk also might have challenged Phaneuf’s EA Sports NHL 09 cover by flaunting his Breakaway Hockey ’98 cover for Nintendo 64.

Which begs the question… how many times have two video game cover boys ever been in a fight? How many times has it happened when their cover appearances were over a decade apart?

I found that to be the best “old time hockey” fight of last year. Two top players, taking care of business. That fight was during a Blues’ powerplay, and Phaneuf and Tkachuk dropped sticks, gloves, and helmets before the fight started.

Agreed, JGB. He should have had to play on Tuesday night. Would have been funny to see Phaneuf go after him and none of the Stars do a thing about it. Oh, sorry it was in Canada…they wouldn’t have done a thing aboot it.
