Gremlins Eat GT Site.
By Sean Gallagher
Just in time to avoid bitching about a shootout loss to Minnesota, a dominant win over the craptacular Kings and an announced price increase down at the DrinkScotch Center, someone or something got into our system and royally fucked things up (that's a technical term, I'm told).
Anyway, we may have some other issues to work through, but we think we're basically back up now.
And yes, we think the powers down at 14th & Brett Hull Way were glad we were down when they announced that they'd be bumping up the prices of tickets next year, even though we really weren't going to bitch about that too much. Seriously.

So much has happened since the site’s been down too. Short list (in no particular order):
- Blues have not lost with Stasny in the lineup
- Walt has a terrific game after missing some time with the flu, then becomes so-so in following games lending credence to the "he only plays great when well-rested" theory that I’ve read here before
- Perron joining Walker in the buffet line
- Backes getting really physical, rest of team jealous and tries to see if they can: 1) get called for more penalties than Backes has hits in a game; 2) allow more own-zone giveaways than Backes hits; 3) Give up 4 times more shots than Backes hits.
- Wagner breaks a leg in Peoria
- Salvadore hurt? (Walker sure to play now, right?)
There’s more too, but my mind wanders.

I was thinking of you guys on Valentine’s Day while I was watching the game at SportsZone with my date. I had all kinds of witty comments and inside jokes he just did not understand. I kept asking him how big our Johnson was going to be that night but he didn’t get it. Our Johnsons, by the way, were so big that night, that they caused a lunar eclipse (only seen in the southern hemisphere).

So does that mean that this is the “official” open thread for tonight’s game?
And what happened to the post I just created, with the nifty B&W shot of The Hyphenator (that didn’t get into tonight’s issue)?
Did it just go off into Limbo or something, or does one of Sean/Brad have to approve it before it gets posted?

Oh. My. God. Matt Walker scored…and the Matt Walker Fan Club (population 1) did not stay for the game. Unbelievable.
We’ll have something else up shortly. GTPD, I have no idea what you’re talking about with a picture of a Goalie Named Tseu. There’s no approval process and I don’t see it on this site or Will’s server we were on momentarily today.

your not a blue link on your name, perhaps it is in limbo cos it doesnt think you are fully logged in?!? your other posts are all bluelinked

GTPD, I just saw your post. In the dashboard, if you go to the link WRITE, you’ll see drafts saved in the system. It’s there. It just never got published.

Thanks, Brad… I’ll go edit it and publish it later; I don’t want to trump this one as the “official” open thread.
CT: I was logged in when I wrote the post; I just don’t log in when I post in these threads.
Oy… I’m listening to the intermission, and friggin’ Don Cherry is posturing with his usual brand of Canadian chauvinism.
Americans and Europeans can play this game too, Don.

Jeez… and Chaser’s agreeing with him.
I loved Cherry when he was coaching the Rockies, but he’s losing it a little more every year.

Kerbs, if you want to find Konstantin Barulin, go here:
You can find his most recent stats here:
http://www.metallurg.ru/ru/?part=gk
He’s in the 2nd spot right now.
Glad I could help.

Make that the 32nd spot…
The point being, it’s not that hard to find Barulin. I understand Kerbs’ point about him not showing up over here, and I don’t like it any more than he does, but it’s not like Barulin’s dropped off the face of the earth.
