We let our guard down last night. After saying for several games that another loss wouldn't feel any worse than the other losses on the schedule. But last night was different.

The Blues came out and competed hard. They took the action to the Canucks. The crowd was intensely into the game and it was easy to tell Vancouver wanted and needed that game. At least the Blues made them earn it. As we live blogged last night, this was the closest feeling the Blues will have to feeling playoff atmosphere. And for the most part, they responded. Too many penalties really killed their chances.

So being a little let down by Saturday's loss, we offer this demonstrative photo to depict the nine-game road trip so far. Your captions in the comments.

No one was ever completely sure what caused Mitchell to snap and impale his teammate in the neck with his stick, but he obviously did it. Unfortunately the group effort at CPR wasn’t enough.
