Is it me or does Lidstrom look like a cross between Gary Sinise and a date rapist?

I’d like to know how the cup-keeper (the guy who wears the white gloves) feels after somebody wins. I mean, it’s his JOB to make sure the cup is “ok” — he flies around the country carrying it around in a case, polishes it all the time (I assume), and touches it only when wearing white gloves. He does this for months every year, right?

Then some team wins and he has to hand it over to a bunch of guys who are covered in sweat, spit, blood, mousse (a lot of Euros in the SCF this year), etc. I wonder if the guy starts freaking out? “…my god! now they’re putting their MOUTHS on it!!”

That’s the TV footage of the cup-keeper I want to see: him watching (in horror?) the cup-carrying parade after the game. Not him setting it up on some folding table in some back room of the arena in the middle of the third period.

I’m happy for Dally – well his family actually more – Amy & the kids sat in front of us for 4 years and we got to be friends with her……one of the nicest wives ever. Hate to admit, I felt a tear when he was the second to get the cup – after that I had enough. We actually were out at Ameristar for Collective Soul so we only saw the 1st and the last 3 minutes of the turd period. Everyone else in that sports bar was hoping the Pens would pull it out. Pretty freakin’ exciting last 5 seconds – FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, the way I see it……whats past is past. And now that the season is over. Its time to move on and get ready for whats to come. We have the draft coming up in a few weeks….. Lets look forward to us turning the corner and make this team a winner again. Im not expecting us to win it all next year (although it would be nice) I just want to play past the first week of April. I just hope we dont get harpooned with a 15 game road trip down the stretch like we did this year.

How come Maltby, Draper, Osgood and Holmstrom have the strength/ energy to lift the cup but when an opposing player makes contact they fall to the ice and whine?
