Alex Pietrangelo Interview on The Pipeline Show

By Sean Gallagher

Bring on the next big Blue defensive stalwart. Here you go, starving for news Blues fans: our friends at The Pipeline Show have pulled yet another interview with one of our team's top prospects.

Take a listen as young Mr. Peterangelos PetAnglio Pteredoctyl Pantrangelo Pietrangelo talks about the draft, his fellow high draft picks and his desire to wear the Note next year. He also mentions that St. Louis is a great city! We knew the kid was smart.

I wonder how long it'll take him to learn that we all hate his pick for "hockey role model."

Did anyone ask him if he has an older brother named Frank who may have been a goalie? No?

Frank Pietrangelo is his uncle…

Good work picking this up, Sean. I’ll give it a listen tonight at home.

Sometimes we get a lead sent our way, right Guy?

Don’t call me “Guy”, “Pal”.

It was nice to hear the interview. Thanks Sean and thanks Guy.

I was also happy so see the ad for Beaver Buzz – the Canadian energy drink. Leave it to the Candians to name a drink after a shaved beaver. I even ordered a t-shirt. I’ll put it into the rotation right after my Game Time T.

off topic…but I’m a bit nervous when Buffalo can make fun of St. Louis:

The top two things that I’ve seen at “Lake Busch” this season:

1. A floating duck decoy that’s probably there at this very moment, which someone apparently threw in a few weeks ago. At first I thought that it was a real duck, until I realized that there’s nothing for ’em here. Except the Subway 3 blocks up.

2. A man in a fishing hat, vest, and sunglasses standing at a card table set up outside the fence before a game who was selling what was apparently live bait inside of little styrofoam containers while yelling to the passing crowd: “Be the first to spend your hard-earned dollars at Ballpark Village!”

Little aside here, Sean, Brad, and the rest,

Is Game Time going to do another meet and greet at Tin Can before the season starts?

I missed the last one because of a prior commitment of which I was reminded at the last minute.

I’d be in favor of that, meine Oberst und Hauptmann…

I would also like to see Our Game Time Staff start working now on the idea of hosting our own Draft Party in the back room at the Tim Can, where we can watch the proceedings on the TV and have some intelligent discussion amongst ourselves and the assembled draftniks.

With inexpensive beers and real food available, as well as commentary on the draftees from people who actually want to talk about this topic and not just try to sell season ticket packages, I think this would run rings around the “official” draft party held last month at the Scotty.

What say the hordes of Game Time Nation assembled?

I move to have the get-together elsewhere or at least get a freaking fan in the back room, it was waaarrmm

Not that anyone should give a shit—-but I’m now a full time St. Louis resident as of 7/12. Bye-Bye Buffalo—-hello humidity.

I’ll be at pretty much any event that involves beer—-.
