2008 Traverse City Prospect Tournament
By Brian Weidler, "Game Time" Prospect Department
The basement of GT Prospect HQ has been flooded for the last couple of days, keeping your GTPD and Mrs. GTPD quite busy cleaning up the mess. That's still in progress, but we've managed to convince Mrs. GTPD to give us a few minutes to throw this little article up on the site.
The Blues' entry at Traverse City isn't setting the world on fire just yet, with two one-goal losses in as many games, but the tournament isn't necessarily about winning for the Blues. Rather, the goal is to get the prospects playing together, against their peers, for evaluation purposes. And in this, the Blues have succeeded thus far, despite a 4-3 loss to Dallas' kiddie corps on Saturday, and a 3-2 loss to Minnesota yesterday.
First-rounders Patrik Berglund, T.J. Oshie, and Alex Pietrangelo are playing well for the Blues, by all accounts, and 2008 draftee James Livingston currently leads the team in scoring with a goal and an assist in the two games. 2005 late-round gem Nikolai Lemtyugov has a pair of assists as well.
Remember, as always, "if we do not prepare for ourselves the role of the anvil, there will be nothing left but that of the anvil." Auf wiedersehen.

No comments yet?? Well because I care, I ask, where is the Teejay Oshie info? file:///A:/oshie.html just doesn’t load for some reason GTPD man. I don’t enjoy this, however my sympathy doesn’t mean I won’t dominate you in fantasy hockey.

That should have read, “the site is still one heck of a great work in progress.”
Keep on truckin’, B!! (when Mrs. GTPD lets you out of Davy Jones’ basement, that is.)

Gifter, you may click whichever link suits you best. I put one at the very top just to grab the attention span-challenged knuckleheads who might have wandered over here from the link I put on The Asylum…
Blues win 4-2 over the Ranger$ for fifth place today; Jake Allen with 34 saves on 36 shots, Berglund with two goals. A more in-depth write-up coming soon.
