Winter Classic Live Blog
In a combined effort between two of the hockey blogosphere's biggest players, James Mirtle and Greg Wyshynski (the one and only Puck Daddy), we present to you the biggest, baddest live blog on the planet.
Feel free to jump in with your comments. The guys from Second City Hockey and the guy and girl from Winging It In Motown (yeah, yeah, we know. But you'll go check it out anyway now that I said there's a girl over there) will be at the game and sending in pictures and dispatches from the event.
And yeah, as Blues fans this is kinda like watching the guy you hate the most from your neighborhood fighting the guy you hate the most from work: You don't really want to root for either of them, but you know you're gonna watch anyway.

Screw NBC… I’m watching this on NHL Network (which I didn’t know until today that I had).
Yeah, they’re Canada-centric (as evidenced by the way they slobber all over Canada’s 7-4 win over Team USA last night), but at least these guys know what they’re talking about.
I just LOVE what the Hawks did with making the Shit Wings have to walk from Elgin to get to the rink… good on ’em.
Yeah, I’m Illinois born and bred, so I’m rooting for the Hawks today.
I like what John McDonough just said about how the Hawks were the youngest team in the NHL… that’s what the Blues need to be. Of course, they’ll need a new coach before they get there…

Shit, you're right...
Oh, well… at least the re-game will be good.

"Freezing my Sergei Krivokrasov."
LOL… you’d never hear that on NBC…

Yo, Brian
you can comment in the live blog in the box above if you want. I know Milo and Average Joe are in there. Brad is our guy who shows up as St Louis Game Time.

I’m not really digging the live blog auto-scroll. I can’t read old comments because it jumps to the end when a new comment appears.
Looks like that goal opened up the game ALOT. Ice looked kind of sluggish, but maybe that was just the players passing with some timidity.
I once shot a man just to see him die...then I got distracted and missed it.
CoverItLive's auto-scroll . . .
can be shut off at the bottom of the live blog. It’s the second button from the bottom left.

Chicago up 3-1.
Fuck the both of them.

bullshit! I noticed “Bufflin” didn’t have a Reebok logo and tried to get into the site for like 10 minutes, and it kept saying service unavailable. THEN they announce that he’s the guy.
fuck, I didn’t know there was a cutoff time, at least not before the game ended
LOL, to me it looked like nobody had the goddamn logo. I was like “oh that guy doesn’t have it, oh wait neither does that guy, oh wait maybe it’s the other guy, ok… I guess don’t fucking know who it is.”

oh that thing at the top?
thought that was a video feed of the game. I found it on NBC so I didn’t botther clicking it.
I feel so blonde.
I would be if I weren’t bald anyway
I watched the game.
And I have to say that life tore me a new one there >.<
And did anyone else hear what Osgood said about going to the bathroom during the commerical? I nearly died laughing.
And Huet made me fucking laugh. He was smiling excessivly and then when they pulled him he almost went nuts, he was so pissed off after that. HAHA

Liked the live blog, but sometimes it was like farting into the wind. Too much action to carry on a good game of comment tennis.
/Dooks: Sorry you wound up talking to yourself for much of the Winter Shittacular
Let's go Blues!!!
Too many jake oafs at the “official” live blog. I like ours here better, where there are a few people, but no so many that you can’t keep straight who said what when.
Next year, they need to have this thing at Coors Field and have the Blues and the Avalanches play… I don’t know if we here in St. Louis are far enough north, or have a resonable guarantee of good cold weather on New Years Day, to host the game here, but I’d sure like to see one at Busch Stadium.
No one that has been it it already (EDM, MTL, BUF, PIT, Chi, DET) should be in it again until everyone’s had a chance to be in it.
Of course, Bettman and the rest of the Madoffs that run the NHL will want their little favorites playing in it every time, so count on seeing those fucksticks in the used-tampon-colored outfits in this game at least twice more before the Blues ever get so much as a sniff..
