This has "Eat A Dick, Detroit Boy" written all over it . . .
Your reference point lies within . . . . Short, but if I called it sweet, well . . . I'd deserve the ridicule for that one.
Money quote: "I think this team needs a new ad agency." Whatever, dickhead.
In all fairness, I usually like Dashiell Bennett's work at Deadspin. For a Detroit area native, the guy actually is kinda funny. But really, what the fuck, Dash? Sorry you're bitter about the whole Sweden thing. It happens, even if your bosses or the majority of your commentariat don't want to claim hockey still exists and you have to try to follow suit. And even if you don't want to claim the bitterness . . . it kinda shows. Really, we apologize. Might I add that your salty tears taste SO good.
Is it wrong to question the sexuality of a guy who moved from an editor position at Fleshbot to an editor position at Deadspin (all under the same roof) without any real evidence that the move was forced? I know it's harsh, so there's no question there. But wrong? Your thoughts below.

Lots of anger from DK
I think the ad agency thing MIGHT be a Mad Men joke since Jon Hamm plays an ad man on the show he’s famous for. I don’t see it as an attack on the Blues, just a lazy joke.
I didn't think of it that way . . .
but seriously, if that’s the joke . . . kinda weak on its face, isn’t it?
One day, David Backes and Albert Pujols will combine forces to become the most awesome piece of violent force known to man.
Hm.
Wow, are they annoyed that we have an actual, real, popular celebrity who likes us and who grew up liking us? I mean, I can see where they’re coming from, since they have Kid Rock and all.
Reporter: There`s a "stamp out the Beatles movement" underway in Detroit. What are you going to do about it?
Paul McCartney: We`re going to start a campaign to stamp out Detroit.
