Video

First up we have a defenseman who really, really doesn't want to get a minus. Nice save, Ian White.

Second, a video from Carnie. I might have linked this before, but this is too funny to not see ... again.

That's it folk. Brad Lee may have something special for later. I don't know. If you're good, maybe. If not ... gametimelinks(at)gmail.com

This is interesting.
Scrutiny and consequences are applied to young and old alike. While Berglund did not dress on Saturday, 31-goal scorer David Backes spent the entire second period on the bench.

So, what you’re telling me is that instead of 12 forwards the second period, we pretty much rolled with 10 and then Cam for 45 seconds. With different lines how many times during the game?

I understand what he’s trying to do, but sometimes you have to let a line play together and get used to each other before they produce. You don’t just shove people together because you’re down a goal and expect it to work.

Reporter: There`s a "stamp out the Beatles movement" underway in Detroit. What are you going to do about it?

Paul McCartney: We`re going to start a campaign to stamp out Detroit.

Same old Murray from LA

that drove them to mediocrity. We can’t score or play D so I’ll fuck with the lines every night. I know it’s early to start my fire the coach rants but dayum, not another year of this crap.

Some days its just not worth chewing through the restraints

This, in a nutshell, is my biggest problem with Andy Murray

His biggest weapon is the bench and I get that. Yet it seems like he has the attention span of a child. You have a few bad shifts, you ride the bench. A line doesn’t produce in two tries, it’s broken up. I’m not an expert by any means but developing chemistry and communication is very, very important.

You need goals, so you bench David Backes. Huh? You dress Cam, but refuse to use him. Why?

I've seen ECHL teams not fiddle fuck with their lines that much.

It’s just frustrating. There’s not even a point to show the line combos before games, because they’ll last for about 43 seconds.

I’m starting to think, regardless of how good of a technical coach he is, this is hindering development. The panic shuffles reached their peak during the playoffs. That worked well, didn’t it?

I'm sorry, that's fucking retarded.

And there’s simply no other way to put it.

There are times when I just assume I don’t know enough about hockey or the particulars of the situation to accurately make an asessment. But there is NOTHING, NOTHING, NOTHING that can reasonably explain scratching Bergie, then not playing his replacement Janssen for more than 5 minutes, then sitting one of the team leaders and scorers for an entire period as we sank to another 2 goal deficit.

Fucking stupid.

and...

…Detroit getting pounded… yes…

When I look at the standings, and seeing them second from bottom in the Western Conference, I can’t help smiling… :)

Fucking ESPN...

… Their two-line “Bottom Line” for that game ran as follows:

Detroit 2 / Buffalo 6
Goal: Holmstrom(3)

A baby dachshund in a hot dog bun . . .

yeah.

Then again, our fatass “miniature” (in name only) red dachshund would need several of those just to be covered. Cute dog and all, but just . . . husky, I guess.

One day, David Backes and Albert Pujols will combine forces to become the most awesome piece of violent force known to man.

INEXCUSABLE

It is obvious after tonight's trivia contest at the game that the rank and file in the Blues organ-I-zation is just phoning it in, too.

The trivia answer is pictured above. The problem? -- He was identified as "Gary Unger".

Gary?

WTF, assholes?

He only played for the 'Note for nine fucking seasons and was pretty damned good in all of them. You'd think the fucking team would remember his name is spelled "G-a-R-R-y".

Someone needs to be shit-canned over this. Call the Blues or call your ticket rep.
