Steen out for 6-8 weeks

well i cant think of any other ways to sum up my feelings bout this any better than FUCK!!!!! When i saw him skating off after the hit the first thing i thought was broken wrist and unfortunatly i was right... Steen has IMO been one of the better players on the team this year. Im trying not to get to down because thinking back to last year injuries did seem to snap us out of whatever funk we were in and someone stepped up and we would find ways to win.. im hoping that this is one of those sutuations..

Tomorrow's roster I'm hopin will look the same for the most part. Strachan looked pretty good for his first NHL game since last season. The only question i cant quite figure out is who gets the nod to take Steen's spot. Obviously it isnt gonna be the same person each game. King is still on his conditioning stint and i dont think he can be called up yet. That leaves Bam Bam Cam, Armstrong, and I wouldnt mind seeing Stastny. Yan is a great penalty killer and would fill in nicely for Steen. JD said Armstrong would for sure be called up if a forward was to go down. And Cam should get a few games simply because he can get the fans loud like no other. If Cam does get to play i would like to see him get more than 5 mins of ice time to.

Let me know what you guys think about the whole situation and who should get that 12th forward spot over the next 2 months

kinda what i was thinkin

but i think king/janssen/armstrong are all gonna get playing time and i really wouldnt mind seeing Stastny like i said.. hes a solid penalty killer that would fit into the Crombeen-McClement line pretty well i think but hopefully someone can step up and we start playing 60 mins games

Gotta agree, Steen at least shoots the puck and contributes some Ofense.

yeah

for a 4th line guy for this team he is great for his role.. he could be a 2nd line player on another team probably and could fit into that role to but for this team he understands his role and executes it perfectly.. thats gonna end up and be a key loss i think

any of the 4 i listed i would be happy with playin.. based on preseason i would like to see armstrong for sure.. had like 6 or 7 pts in 3 or 4 games.. stastny would be a good fill in for steen on the pk.. and then janssen is always fun to watch lol

I keep hearing about the work he’s done over summer, how much improved he was at Camp etc…I want to SEE it. I want to see him being given a chance to prove it.

i would like to see cam play to

and when i say play i dont mean sit on the bench for 55 mins… i would like to see him play and if you do dress him.. play him.. theres no reason he should have only had 5 mins of ice time when he dressed the first time.. might as well just play with 19 on the roster if that happens.. he brings alot of excitement to the game when he just runs wild across the ice lol.. hoping he gets the call tonight though.. i think janssen v. parros could jump start us hopefully
