It's finally here. No more fake games. No more predictions. No more unimportant stuff. Finally, real hockey. I haven't been this excited for a season since Pierre Turgeon was the No. 1 center.

Videos

Hold onto your butts, we have 3 videos today.

From CCR comes a video that's going around the 'net like crazy. This is the greatest opening montage ever. Replace the bear with Louie and holy shit, I'm ready for pucks.

Look, I enjoyed the playoff berth as much as the next guy, but that's in the past. Watch this one more time and let's get ready for the 2009-10 season.

And finally, Fuck the Red Wings.

Mmmm your tears taste so good.

Poor College Student will be here this weekend. I'll be home in St. Louis sending NatetheGreat. off for his big boy job. I might hit up the DrinkScotch Center on Saturday. Maybe I'll see some of you there? Send PCS some shit. gametimelinks(at)gmail.com.

"...built in excuse when they drop two in Sweden"

Detroit doesn’t need an excuse to drop two, because no matter if it’s in Sweden, Detroit, St. Louis, or wherever they are ALWAYS a piece of shit

Fuck Detroit LET’S GO BLUES!

I'd shed a tear for them...

…but I don’t give a flying flip. At all.

We’re gonna give Jimmy Howard a serious trial by fire today. I can feel it.

Reporter: There`s a "stamp out the Beatles movement" underway in Detroit. What are you going to do about it?

Paul McCartney: We`re going to start a campaign to stamp out Detroit.

Cathedral with TechnoViking and Teej, eh?

They’re begging for shots from the center and right side, obviously.

One day, David Backes and Albert Pujols will combine forces to become the most awesome piece of violent force known to man.

Keystone Lake Zamboni falls through thin ice

A Zamboni took a dip in North America's largest groomed skating pond at Keystone Resort tonight.
A driver was grooming the lake at about 6:15 p.m., when the ice cracked and the 7,000-pound machine began to sink at about 6:15 p.m. As a precaution, skaters were cleared from another area of the 5-acre pond, resort spokesman Ryan Whaley said. The driver was not injured.
There was no word immediately on how soon the rink might re-open, but staff will examine the ice and remove the Zamboni Wednesday, Whaley said.
"They'll take it out and we'll see how it is," Whaley said of the machine and the safety of the ice around the crater.
With a lake that large, other areas could reopen immediately, he said.

Once it dries out, the machine is likely salvageable, he said.
Kenneth Waesche snapped a photo of the sunken ice machine when he stopped by Lakeside Village for a pickup game of hockey. His wife planned to do some skating.
Waesche said that the "thin ice" sign in the foreground of the photo was some distance away from where the Zamboni went in.
The lake is typically open from Dec. 18 to March. 28 depending on the weather, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
