Tuesday links: The Fragile Jay vs. Silent Jay edition

As I sit here and eat Frosted Flakes straight out of the box, I wonder: Is it the best cereal to eat dry? Thoughts?

Chex in a Chex mix is superior

but I don’t know if that’s technically dry.

Frosted Flakes are a great dry snack, though.

Dry cereal?

Cookie Crisp, hands down. I mean, it really is like eating little chocolate chip cookies.

Crap, both of those games are on at the same time, aren’t they? God dang it. Looks like I’ll have to find a feed for the Blues game, so I’ll do the one on TV, one on the computer thing. I really hope that I pick up the TSN feed and not the RDS one.

BTW, Tuesdays w/Hildy might be a little late today, not sure. I haven’t been feeling very well recently and my brain’s on the fritz. I’ve tried kicking it a few times, but for some reason that didn’t work.

Reporter: There`s a "stamp out the Beatles movement" underway in Detroit. What are you going to do about it?

Paul McCartney: We`re going to start a campaign to stamp out Detroit.

Dry cereal

is a staple in our house for lots of meals and snacks.
Currently in the pantry is: frosted mini wheats, frosted flakes, lucky charms, cinnamon toast crunch, and finally capt crunch halloween.
The ghosts in the capt crunch turn green when wet. The boys love to put them in their mouth and then show me almost every ghost.

Sent the news caption link to lots of friends, thanks.
It took a bit to figure out a few of the guys without facial hair.

I’ll be late to the party tonight, Tues is soccer practice night for the kids.
Man that is going to kill my post count. Do I get a mulligan?

I’m going to miss part of the game too because I have a stupid exam at 7pm. But it’s only 50 multiple choice questions so I should be done quick.

jay v jay

bonus road trivia question.

1. while penguin jay has “fit in well” with his team, how many of the blues eight (to-date) 2010 defensement has he scored more points than while playing at least two more games?

2. True or False penguin jay has scored more points than toronto dutchie?

3 while fragile may be a league leader in blocked shots, where does he fall on his teams defense in hits?

4. (true/false) if our jay was also their jay he would be the penguin plus minus team leader

I only remember one hit by Fragile Jay.

pah (and answers)

jay barely leans forward, not so much a hit, as parrish running into the guard rail.

anyway.

1) jay has 1 point, only 2 blues d-men have fewer and 1 of those played only 14 min

2) FALSE, Lee has one point so they be tied (ouch, lee what up dog?!?)

3) 5th, only one pen d-man has fewer hits than frajile jay

4) true. jay m doesnt lead the blues in plus minus at +2, however he would be tied for the pens lead if he were traded during the warmup

i guess the point is (and i was for NOT buying out frajile jay) that jay is doing what jay does, stand. dodge players. step in front of pucks. as great as that is for 800k, it aint that great at 5 mill. I am happy he is happy, i am happy the pens are happy. i wanna see em both cry tonight though

From TSN Rankings... a little former blue action:

“Let’s lob some credit to D Matt Walker, the only plus player on the Lightning roster. "

Sometimes, I wonder why hockey came south of St. Louis, and then I realize, I'm south of St. Louis. Coincidence, I think not.

I know the huge flaws in +/-

But the Sydor/Johnson pairing leads the team in +/- for what it’s worth.

Best dry cereal . . .

Corn Pops. Can’t get much better than that. A close second would be any type of sweetened Golden Puffs.

I laughed so hard at the Caption Fails that I could hardly concentrate on ’em!

Keystone Lake Zamboni falls through thin ice

A Zamboni took a dip in North America's largest groomed skating pond at Keystone Resort tonight.
A driver was grooming the lake at about 6:15 p.m., when the ice cracked and the 7,000-pound machine began to sink at about 6:15 p.m. As a precaution, skaters were cleared from another area of the 5-acre pond, resort spokesman Ryan Whaley said. The driver was not injured.
There was no word immediately on how soon the rink might re-open, but staff will examine the ice and remove the Zamboni Wednesday, Whaley said.
"They'll take it out and we'll see how it is," Whaley said of the machine and the safety of the ice around the crater.
With a lake that large, other areas could reopen immediately, he said.

Once it dries out, the machine is likely salvageable, he said.
Kenneth Waesche snapped a photo of the sunken ice machine when he stopped by Lakeside Village for a pickup game of hockey. His wife planned to do some skating.
Waesche said that the "thin ice" sign in the foreground of the photo was some distance away from where the Zamboni went in.
The lake is typically open from Dec. 18 to March. 28 depending on the weather, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
