A Video Suggestion For Andy Murray

There's not much one can say about an effort like the Blues put out Tuesday against the Pittsburgh Penguins. But if Andy Murray can channel a little bit of Herb Brooks, we'd suggest that he do to the boys what Herbie did to his team back in '79 after a tie with Norway.

The story goes that this went on for an hour and forty-five minutes. If you're not familiar with the drill, known as a "Herbie" or a "Mountain," it's blueline, back, red line, back, far blueline, back, far end line, back. And that's just one.

Fuck I remember puking on so many of these

climb the mountains. Hated that drill, it was like wind sprints during football practice, coached did it to smoke everyone.

Some days its just not worth chewing through the restraints

We did those in soccer too. One time we had to do twenty suicide sprints. it was one of the worst experiences ever. The next time coach said we were going to do it again so half way through I said “I’m going to have diarrhea.” So I ran out of the field and got in my car and left.

Coach was an asshole though.

I watched this film for the first time last week – being a “newbie” and a non-US person, I had NO idea about the backstory.
