T.J. Oshie Has Emergency Appendectomy

As Hildy noted in the FanPosts earlier, the Post-Dispatch's Jeremy Rutherford is reporting tweeting that T.J. Oshie underwent an emergency appendectomy last night and will obviously be out indefinitely. No idea on how long these things brew before surgery is required or if it was the result of an injury, but details will surely follow soon.

Oshie's game is predicated on a certain fearless energy and reckless abandon whenever he's on the ice, something that has been missing a bit lately. Hopefully his recovery is quick and that his normal up-tempo game returns at the same time.

Look I'm sure youre a nice person and everything but that Redwings jersey you're wearing makes me want to cave your face in with my fist...it's not you it's me and the fact that you're a fucking Redwings fan

Mace's surgery

was about 53 weeks ago. Weird.

How many guys go down a year with an appendix? And now the Blues have two in almost exactly a year.

Injury bug, I curse you. Go away.

but

that mason thing happened at his low point, and after recoverery it didnt take him long to suplant legace and go on to have his best season ever. not sure we should expect the same from ohie but we certainly can hope for the same.

Well

Unless we resign Legace and then make Oshie a goalie I agree we shouldn’t expect the same. But yeah im definatly hoping for that to happen as well.

apparently

if legace’s agent tells the blues legace wants another try, we will fire bishop and give him an ahl job

Is there ever a good time for an emergency appendectomy?

I suppose it’s better to happen in October than March.
So who do we bring up?
Sastny?
I read he was the R-men’s best player so far.

Well Teej . . .

now we know why you’ve sucked out loud for the first month or so. No offense . . . .

Get well soon, Teej.

One day, David Backes and Albert Pujols will combine forces to become the most awesome piece of violent force known to man.

Exactly: no offense

that’s been the problem!

You know, other than this appendix thing. Get better soon, Yoshie!

Maybe TJ will have the same kind of 2nd half as Mason had last year

They rushed Mason back from his cuz Manny got Palin carpeted, and Bishop almost got hurt too maybe Oshie will be masonish when hes fully recovered

anyone know who’s starting tonight?

Conk

It wouldn’t stun me if the Blues did make a call up, and it also wouldn’t suprirse me if it was Eller instead of Yan or Armstrong, simply because Eller wouldn’t have to pass through waivers to return to the Peoria.

Funny, that's probably how Eller would say it.

Reports coming out of St. Louis claim

that immediately following the procedure Oshie came out of sedation and beat the shit out of it and stitched himself up so he wouldn’t miss stick and puck that night

That sucks

Teej seemed to be back banging and playing his game against the Wild. I’m sure RIck Nash is sighing with relief.

“Blues estimate that TJ Oshie will be out for two weeks while recovering from appendectomy.”
