Big Walt's Post-Game Interview
Unfortunately it seems that the Blues have decided not to play the bubblegum pop songs after wins like they did last year. Too bad, because that was truly a weird juxtaposition for a hockey locker room. On the plus-side, Tkachuk is clearly settled into the grizzled vet role: got a fat dip in, talking about the experince for the young kids, gives a nod to the goaltending tandem and props up the defeated opponent to avoid providing any bulletin board material.
Let 'em have it Walt:
The Blues have a few days to get home, de-jet-lag and get ready for Atlanta on Thursday. But for now, if you're looking for some late-night gloating, here's as good a spot as any.

Still surprised the Avs came out so dominant, seeing as how they were pretty universally picked to be the worst team in the conference. Doubt they can keep it up, but it might be interesting.
I wasn’t really surprised at the first win; there was a ton of emotion in their building, what with raising Sakic’s number to the rafters. But shutting out the Nucks… no, I didn’t see that coming.
I think they’ll still end up at or near the bottom of the conference, but they can’t be taken for granted.
When Walt said
“They’re the best team in the Western Conference,” I think he meant to say “They WERE the best team in the Western Conference.”

Much better interview...
Than Lidstrom’s whiny bitchy one afterwards. I guess that’s to be expected since we actually have men on our team, and Detroit has a bunch of menopausal women.
My one wish is that the MLB schedulers would have not scheduled the Cardinals second playoff game that night. Thankfully, I think it’s in LA, so I get to stay up until like 1 in the AM on a worknight. Oh well. At least there isn’t a conflict in the games.
Reporter: There`s a "stamp out the Beatles movement" underway in Detroit. What are you going to do about it?
Paul McCartney: We`re going to start a campaign to stamp out Detroit.
