St. Louis Game Time makes a cameo on a Blues commercial

The Blues have unleashed more TV commercials for tickets in such. The latest batch features actor, and St. Louis native, Jon Hamm. Hamm is a big-time Blues fan who earns instant cred by name dropping the Cavallini brothers. It's a fun spot and it's cool that the Blues are using someone who is famous and actually a fan and not just famous. Anyway, I like the spot.

But that's not why I'm posting this. At the 17 second mark in the video, there is a shot of a fan sign. On the fan sign is none other than a sticker for this little Web site. Now, you have to know what you're looking for BUT the Game Time logo can clearly be seen. Don't believe me?

Jon_hamm_game_time_medium

Yep. That's the Game Time logo. And I gotta say, that's pretty cool.

Here's the full commercial:

God I love Mad Men.

I’m almost caught up, too.

Well that's interesting

And I’m surprised they didn’t make a sign saying “Oshie for Mayor.”

During last year's prez election...

… I woulda voted for Teej, and I’m actually pretty sure that 99.9% of my friends would have, too. There’s a future in politics for that kid.

“Hi, I’m TJ Osh-” “Sir, sorry – don’t want to interrupt the speech, but every other candidate pulled out. They’re scared of you.”

All it’d take.

I’m gonna be on the lookout for a dirty ass hat like that now at every home game now.

Great commercial

Much better than the other piece of the puzzle ones.

It doesn’t hurt that he’s some awesome eye candy.

Yup. I agree with Marcus.

Mad Men is as good as watched now.

Wasn’t that the Oshie sign from the Dallas game last year, where he totally fucked up Turco’s fragile psyche with a sick roof-job? I seem to remember seeing that “be-stickered” Oshie sign before.

One day, David Backes and Albert Pujols will combine forces to become the most awesome piece of violent force known to man.

You should get that autographed by Hamm

Don’t you get some kind of cut for that. Union pay for graphic artists or something

I truly wish

Juan and the SLGT staff would make some more stickers, bumber stickers, clings, hats and patches.
I would totally buy at least one of each of those.
But at least I got a few print outs of the logo for pics and autographs.

Absolutely.

Cafe Press is our friend. I’d love a Game Time bumper sticker for my car, and I need a few stickers for the November 5th game so I can make annoying signs to hold up behind the Thrashers bench if that’s where I am for the game.

yea and if i had a few i’d tag columbia with them, the moronic police here would think it’s some sort of gang uprising

Look I'm sure youre a nice person and everything but that Redwings jersey you're wearing makes me want to cave your face in with my fist...it's not you it's me and the fact that you're a fucking Redwings fan

You've just given me an idea.

The Bloods around here have taken to wearing Cards caps (which makes me scared for my life what with the fact that I have been known to wear the occasional Cardinals shirt). I wonder if I put Game Time shit up someone’ll think it’s the Crips… hm.

If you hear about a gang war in Marietta, GA, I had nothing to do with it. Swear.

Swag...

I would love to just go out and tag GT stickers around our town and others that I travel to for work. Then take some of the pic’s. This is the best site/mag/blog that has ever been made. For sure a MUST buy before every game. Who doesn’t want to play GT Bingo?

I smell a Project Mayhem....

We did have a few hundred stickers, but they’re all gone now. I’m actually looking for the best way to print more of them just to give away. If anyone knows a good vendor for these, let me know. Same goes for patches and the like. I just don’t have the ability to ‘warehouse’ and ship things ina timely fashion.

And thanks for the kind words, everyone… I’m having a hard time reading the screen…. some sort of salty discharge in my eyes….

You mean

You totally got something in your eye? Like back back when the Blues clinched a playoff birth last year? Remember that?… Umm. That was awesome….

And I’m sure the rest area patrons are glad you’re back to work in the service industry.

p.s on the free logo-ed game time stuff

meet on the ne corner of 14th and clark, before i need a drink (usually pregame skate time, and since im on the wrong side of the arena this season, even earlier), during many weekend games will net you a free fake gametime logo puck.

the logo is real. the puck isnt. looks nice though. you can add it to you lalime toliet edition game time giveaway if your a true oldskool gt’er

i usually bring about 10-15 with me and give them to gametime buyers as i hang out with john and whoever else is there (scalpers, cops, crying wings fans, photographers, lost cardinals fans, etc). however it is generally the same people who get gt everyweek that early so, new blood would be cool

a few of those… I have put them in several places around the house and work, I love em, the wife hates them. Sighh…
I think I spread a few around at Juans place too… (in case you were wondering Juan.)

Keystone Lake Zamboni falls through thin ice

A Zamboni took a dip in North America's largest groomed skating pond at Keystone Resort tonight.
A driver was grooming the lake at about 6:15 p.m., when the ice cracked and the 7,000-pound machine began to sink at about 6:15 p.m. As a precaution, skaters were cleared from another area of the 5-acre pond, resort spokesman Ryan Whaley said. The driver was not injured.
There was no word immediately on how soon the rink might re-open, but staff will examine the ice and remove the Zamboni Wednesday, Whaley said.
"They'll take it out and we'll see how it is," Whaley said of the machine and the safety of the ice around the crater.
With a lake that large, other areas could reopen immediately, he said.

Once it dries out, the machine is likely salvageable, he said.
Kenneth Waesche snapped a photo of the sunken ice machine when he stopped by Lakeside Village for a pickup game of hockey. His wife planned to do some skating.
Waesche said that the "thin ice" sign in the foreground of the photo was some distance away from where the Zamboni went in.
The lake is typically open from Dec. 18 to March. 28 depending on the weather, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
