Andy McDonald
In case, like me, you could only listen on the radio last night, you'd have missed the scary sight of Happy Meal crashing headfirst into the boards.
Well, here it is:
I'm so glad he got up and skated off - admittedly with help - after this. Strickland is reporting that he went to hospital for observation but it's not believed to be serious. This is one guy we simply can't do without at the moment. Happy Meal is working his little ass off - let's hope he continues to do so.
If one guy is going to provide the lift needed to get the team out of its current slump then it's Happy Meal - or Perron.
Fingers crossed that early reports are correct and that it's NOT as serious as it initially looked. Scary stuff.

We'll be lucky...
…if MickeyD doesn’t have a concussion after that crash… I agree, Doc — he and Perron are he only guys showing anything offensively right now!

yup
Kariya is trying – but his timing is just totally wiped out at the moment. At least this year, he’s battling a bit for the puck. A few more games and I think Kariya will start looking more like his old self.
Wonder if the same can be said of Backes? He’s disappointed so far.

they guy who was a
gritty power forward and started to score in the second half. he hasnt been gritty yet either. scoring can mess with your head sometimes almost as much as not scoring.

When your limbs curl up and sort of pull into your body its a sign of either brain or spine damage can’t remember which. When i saw his arms curl up like that I got real worried. Hopefully its just a minor concussion or something of that sort.

I got to watch about 5 minutes of the game
and it just happened to be the five in which this happened. It was terrifying. I was so relieved to see him get up and skate off… I really hope he’s okay.

Strickland
has just “tweeted”:
The results of Andy McDonald’s catscan, Mri’s, and neurological tests point towards him being ok. Don’t know if he’ll play Thursday.

That's a relief
Hate to see anyone go down like that. Hopefully if he does have a concussion they don’t rush him back in. Better to lose him now for a game or two then to rush it and have something serious happen.

At least his spine is a slinky...
watching the replay last night, you can see from his head to his toes the impact and recoil. Hope he’s alright, but it looks like he’s gonna be a inch shorter when he returns.

What is with all the injuries?
Along with Big Mac, Kovy is out, Malkin is out, Ovechkin just got injured. Hope everyone is ok soon, the NHL is better when the stars are still playing.

Thank goodness for Panger & Bernie's hockey safety tips for the kids...
What we do without em?
