OT: What happened to Fred from Dirt Cheap? Answer revealed!

Ok most (almost all?) of us love watching the game while drinking lots of beer...but the damn new girl they have doing the Dirt Cheap commercials sounds annoying / or that shes 12.

What happened to Fred? The guy who always said..."The more she drinks, the better you look?"

Apparently got forced out of dirt cheap and is opening up his own stores...Fred's Cheapo Depot.

had died of lung cancer from all those ~~cigarettes~~ Cheep-Cheep-Fun-Fun! Glad to see he hasn’t…

I remember when the first Dirt Cheap opened

I grew up and lived about 1/4mile from there. Not far into Jefferson county I remember a few comments about about what a great name it was for ‘Jeff Co’.
Sorry to here he split ways with Paul Taylor who is well known in the Jefferson County Hwy30 corridor.
I’ve never met Fred but Paul is also a down to earth guy even though he owns numerous businesses.
I hope whatever differences occured can be put aside after time, a good friend lost is never replaced

I might stop by his daughter's restaurant

the next time I’m in town. Haven’t had too much experience inside of a Dirt Cheap since I’m still underaged … blah … but I have had the [dis]pleasure of tasting Dirt Cheap brand beer. Also, has anyone ever been to the DC on Hampton Ave? Apparently they lost their liquor license awhile back and now my buddy describes it as “a big room with candy and cigarettes.” Not even sure if it’s still open.
