Oh, God, poor Cam Ward.

I… wow. The Canes are bad off, but this is really really bad for them. Really really bad.

It's a little early to start to want to tank for a pick...

… but maybe they might as well. Carolina hasn’t had a really high pick in a while anyway. But having Rick Nash slice off my Conn Smythe winning goaltender’s leg is NOT the way that I would want to go about getting one.

I'm confused

did he get cut in that area between the knee and pant leg or did he get cut in the groin through all that equipment? I’ve read conflicting reports.

Heck yes.

My goal is to see how (politely-ish) loud we can get. Perhaps an “Osh-ie” chant just for the hell of it.

I’m just really hoping that Eller gets a chance to play today, even though McDonald’s back. I was impressed with him last night… I like the new version of the Kid Line. Eller seems to have lit a fire under TJ’s butt… or maybe not having an appendix helps too.

No Kovy is a plus, but we really, really have to keep an eye on Peverley and Bogosian, especially on the PP. Hedberg should be in net… if his fruit-up on Twitter (from what I’ve heard) is indicative of his mindset, Moose should be out to play. I think he’s kind of pissed off at the team.

I hope to make it back in time tonite to catch at least some of the game...

I have to play real hockey at 5:00, which means I’ll be done at 6:00, changed and on the road by 6:15, home by 7:45 if all goes well…yes, I live an hour and a half away from where we play hockey. It sucks….but its worth it.

Its the first game of the season so hopefully all goes well. We don’t have our real goalie because Chris is busy out in the field harvesting..Soooo….we have a sub. But in our scrimmages, our Defense was AWESOME so we should be ok.

Might as well say it now: LETS GO BLUES

Well nevermind that....

Just realized game starts at 4:00 central…which therefore means I don’t get to watch ANY of it…DAMNIT

Don’t even get to listen since I doubt I’ll get KMOX during the day all the way out here in NE…

GRRRRR

Keystone Lake Zamboni falls through thin ice

A Zamboni took a dip in North America's largest groomed skating pond at Keystone Resort tonight.
A driver was grooming the lake at about 6:15 p.m., when the ice cracked and the 7,000-pound machine began to sink at about 6:15 p.m. As a precaution, skaters were cleared from another area of the 5-acre pond, resort spokesman Ryan Whaley said. The driver was not injured.
There was no word immediately on how soon the rink might re-open, but staff will examine the ice and remove the Zamboni Wednesday, Whaley said.
"They'll take it out and we'll see how it is," Whaley said of the machine and the safety of the ice around the crater.
With a lake that large, other areas could reopen immediately, he said.

Once it dries out, the machine is likely salvageable, he said.
Kenneth Waesche snapped a photo of the sunken ice machine when he stopped by Lakeside Village for a pickup game of hockey. His wife planned to do some skating.
Waesche said that the "thin ice" sign in the foreground of the photo was some distance away from where the Zamboni went in.
The lake is typically open from Dec. 18 to March. 28 depending on the weather, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
