12/03 Road Music, @ San Jose Sharks

Do you know the way....

....to beat the San Jose Sharks? Nobody else does; they sit atop the Western Conference with 42 points (19-6-4) and have won 4 of their last 5. Their record might have something to do with

In the six games they've been together, the mega-powers line of Dany Heatley, Patrick Marleau and Joe Thornton has scored a combined 30 points; Thornton's 1 goal and 12 assists; Heatley's 4 goals and 5 assists and Marleau's 6 goals and 2 assists, including his two tallies last night.

(Puck Daddy)

That's a pretty formidable lineup. And it's not like we're not aware of their potency: when they came to town 11/14, goals were scored by Heatley and Thornton.

But let's not give them too much respect here: any team is beatable. We can't play their game; we must make them play ours. And we must remember the lessons from that previous match-up.

Ian Hunter/ Once Bitten, Twice Shy.

And, for the kids out there, here's the version you're more familiar with...just beware of the pyrotechnics:

Likewise/

I should be home exactly for puck-drop after the Thrashers game. I wish that the two teams’d have more games NOT scheduled on the same night. It’s not an issue when the Thrashers are away, because I watch the Blues, but home games… sigh

Late game times DO suck...

but I guess I’ll have more time to get the house somewhat “christmas-ed” before I get too distracted with the game! Normally I’ll stick out a game even if it looks bad…but with these late starts, if its out of control and looking like a very bad outcome, I give up. And I feel shame for it, but then I’m not usually shocked in the morning to see the results.

Note to Blues: KEEP ME UP LATE TONITE!!!!!

giving to the drunks and drug addicts just makes the problem worse and draws more in. The ones who claim vet status for more sympathy really crank me off. Most of them have never set foot in the military.

that most are vets. I’d bet 80% of those people, at least, aren’t lying.

I think this guy needed it.

He took the chips, bought a aide of salsa, and dug in. Looking back on it, I shoulda just bought him a burrito or something. Dammit.

I usually don’t give because I don’t trust people, though. This guy just seemed like he needed it.

Reporter: There`s a "stamp out the Beatles movement" underway in Detroit. What are you going to do about it?

by hildymac on Dec 3, 2009 6:02 PM CST via mobile up reply actions

from my experience

when I ask these supposed vets questions about their military life, they don’t get past 2 or 3 questions. Most are frauds. You just gotta know what questions to ask. If you’re quoting the MSM and their numbers those folks fall for the phony hero stories every week it seems like. Check SOCNET if you want to really see how many of these frauds are out there drawing praise and VA payments.
