Hey Blues fans,

I'm a Kings fan but Paul Kariya is my favorite player. I just wanted to share some photos I took at the Blues-Kings game yesterday.

Those are some of the best pictures

I’ve seen. They are all so clear and you caught a lot of the action.
Some of the faces are amazing. Jackman is going to bite his tongue off one of these days if he doesn’t keep it in.
My favorite is the close up of EJ from the side.

What kind of camera is that? I assume you are on the glass.
Yep, I went and looked at the video. Saw you jump up with the Kariya jersey on arm in the air and what I at first thought was a beer in the right hand. Looking at the pictures though I assume it’s your camera in your right hand.

Yeah, I just moved up a couple rows from my actual seats assuming someone would show eventually but nope.

I’m shooting a Canon 50D with an 85mm f/1.8 portrait lense that acts like a short telephoto. Staples only allows you to bring in lenses that are 3.5 inches or shorter. I’m still a newbie photographer; I’ve only had an SLR for a few months….

I grew up about ten minutes from the GW Forum, where the Kings use to play. So the Kings had to be my team.

Kariya instantly became my favorite player when my Uncle told me there was a Japanese guy playing for Canada in the 94 Olympics. Haven’t stopped supporting him since.

No photo pass. I just moved up a couple rows from my actual seats. They’re pretty strict on photos. The lense restriction is 3.5 inches. Metal detectors at every entrance & security to send you back to your car with equipment..

I’ve smuggled a long lens into St. Louis, Long Island and Kansas City (heh), but my photo shooting skills aren’t good enough to pose a threat.

Wow

Great pics. You must have been right below me as I had the same angle of the game. Deja Vu almost.

I saw a guy wiping the glass down on the King’s end behind the goal during the TV break and wondered if it was for the fans. I didn’t see that on our end did you? My Olympus is broke and I need to get moving on a replacement. The Canons look like what I’m going to buy.
