Maybe a Player that Could be had for Tkachoke
Looking all around at possible places the fat one could end up. Boston seems likely since it will require the 4th most paid player in NHL history. Yeah that's correct. Never broke a hundred points and has never won a ring or for that matter many post-season games he still manages to come up big on pay day.
I did however find one possible spot he could end up if he'd agree--that is FLorida. The FLA bitches. And we Matthias. The highly touted but so far much disappointing youngster from Florida who is -28 in the AHL thanks to the quality goaltending of the hyphenator who has been sent down to the ECHL.
Otherwise there are some interesting canidates in Boston but there's no way we could believe Tkachuk has that much value to Boston to forgo say Raask, even if we packaged them soemthing? Doubtful still. Two players struck my interest in their prospect pool but still doubt they'd be allowed to leave. I pondered Washington as well and came up with a few but again highly unlikely.
I don't see too many Western teams vying for Tkachuk. Though I could see Minnesota take that shot as they could have him play limited five on five duty but desperately use his help on the power play.
Then again there's whipsers that Tkachuk may just be kept for the run. Which as you all know will sadden me till the day he is no longer a Blue. Could you imagine this guy having his number retired next to the likes of Hull or Big AL? I mean seriously? Is this a possibility? In today's world futility has often rewarded, though griped about but continually rewarded nonetheless.
Love to know how you see it. I understand he's been servicable this season. But at $4 million has he been worth it, especially when you consider how much he has been paid to play in St. Louis?

I'd like to know why you think that.
I haven’t really seen the proof. He received four million last season and didn’t show up to games till the Blues were out of it and his stats were on the line.
How many payers earn four million dollars on the third line in this league?
He has been decent on the power play this season and has worked hard this season but I still believe in equating crap hockey in St. Louis with his arrival.

No Trade Clause
Equals no trade to Florida. Possibly no trade anywhere.

Which is true but the Blues did get around that particular problem with Weight.

Much different situation
1. It was December.
2. Weight S U C K E D.
3. They basically threatened to not dress him or give him minimal playing time knowing that he wanted to play for a new contract after the season.
There’s no way they’d pull that with Tkachuk. They need him to play too much.

It was November. And you're putting to much faith in the fat man. In the end I just want to make the play offs
if Tkachuk can do that then he can stay. But I don’t think he’s going to be a big reason for that. And I don’t buy his particular brand of leadership. If he was a leader he’d have a ring on his finger by now.

I hate to be the guy who has to have the last word
But it was December. Dec. 14, 2007 to be exact.

And I would still wager you they won’t trade him.

Nope. Never happen. If it wasn’t retired for Red or Garry, it won’t be retired for the likes of Tkachoke. Besides, Timmy “The Savior” Oshie is in the wings hoping “7” is available soon. Bet he won’t wait until Walt’s sweat is dry before slipping that jersey on!

Bless your heart Milo
It’s looking more and more like Tkachuk will be on the move. Even if we beat the Yotes there’s still too much ground to be made up to take the gamble imho. I still root and hope that we make it but where was the 500+ goal scorer tonight? I mean shouldn’t we rely on the veteran with all the goals to be able to come through in the clutch?
It’s my opinion that the youth on this team are the real leaders. Also players like Backes, Jackman, McClement and Mason. Those are our real leaders. I’m sure Boyes is helpful and a leader of sorts but he’s all flash really. A useful piece but not someone you can rely upon in your own end. Shit I forgot about McDonald. That’s a leader. A little shit that goes hard to the net or into the tough places even though there’s a price.

You mean like just 3 days ago with the OT game winner?

If you don't actually want to make an intelligent conversation in reply to these posts
then don’t fucking post a reply. Tell me in a game chat your sarcastic remarks. One overtime goal whoppty doo. What about Saturday? Where was Walt in that game?

My advice:
Don’t post a FanPost if you’re not going to be ready for the criticism that will come with it.
Just my personal feeling.

Listen Dude...
He’s not going to go out and score a game winner in the slot every freaking night. Get over it.
We all have our opinions about the ’Note. Some are different than others.
If the Blues fade in the next week, by all means, be a seller. If they don’t fade, keep the status quo.
Remember, if it had not been for Walt’s hot start, we would not even be having this chat.
If you don’t like the fucking answers that you get, then don’t fucking post.
It’s the internet, get over it.
