Greetings from The Netherlands (Europe)
Hi all, my name is Gerard. Just wanted to introduce myself to you Blues fans. I'm 27 years old and I'm from The Netherlands. That's a small country in Europe, next to Germany and famous for its capital Amsterdam! Maybe you've even been there, like many Americans have.
Since the day I got the computer game NHL 94 for my 13th birthday, I picked the Blues as the team to play with. I liked the logo, and was curious how they did in real-life in the Nationale Hockey League. Ever since that time I have followed the results and team news through the Internet. In The Netherlands (also called Holland by some) we now have a North-American sports network in our TV Cable-package. They show lots of NHL-games, sometimes even the Blues. And if they don't I sometimes look for a live stream on the internet.
So, you might think: that's a crazy Fruit Euro (as many Blues-fans would probably call me and my fellow European Blues-fans lol..). Well... I'm planning to visit the
Predators game at Scottrade as a spectator on Saturday February 21, my first visit ever to St. Louis and the Blues!! See you there.
Kind regards from a Fan from Europe. Let's go Blues!

Welcome, Gerard
NHL 94 is a great way to fall in love with any team with a decent rating (So: Anaheim, Florida, San Jose — out).
Glad you get to go to St. Louis and your first Blues game! You’ll probably see many of the names you recognize from NHL 94 walking around the building (well, people wearing those jerseys, at least).
But where is this “Netherlands (Europe)” place you speak of? Is that south of Rolla? Or somewhere in Illinois’ nether regions? We Americans don’t get out much ;-)

welcome! sadly the Blues aren’t as good now as they were in ‘94…..yet.
I think it’s awesome you’re going to travel all that distance to see a Blues game in person!
you should come back to this website during Blues games and a lot of us will be here commenting, joking, cheering, and cursing along with the game. it’s lots of fun
Thanks Dooks
I know, this website. Since last season I am a regular visitor… More of a reader than a responder though. But I thought: time to change that, since I’m now coming down to see a game in person. Love to meet lots of you Blues-fans overthere in STL.

Make sure
You drop Gallagher an e-mail. He’ll make sure you get a copy of the paper version of Game Time.
And it would be one of the best things ever if we could arrange a FanFromEurope/Answer Man summit.
I already have our in-house soft-focus expert on the case.
Expect a sweet arty from Gifter on this one.

Three questions for Gallagher
Hiya Gallagher,
3 questions:
1) I hope it is a nice ‘arty’… I myself am a sportsjournalist so that’s nice :) And where can I read it? lol
2) And this ‘Gifter’ is that the guy called Chris Gift?? I visited this Gametimesite often since last season and saw somebody with that name
3) Did I read it right last season that there was something with you being a baseball-player?? Or is my memory playing games on me now??
Well guys, enjoy the game overthere against Avalanche. Probably start twenty minutes ago.. Here in The Netherlands it’s 2.50 am… (had a party from someone, you see)….

In response to question 3, there happens to be a baseball player who is also named Sean Gallagher. He was traded to Oakland last year and the rest of the paper decided to write a fictional story concerning our editor getting dealt, rather than the actual ballplayer.
Fuck Detroit
