On "Recommends" At This Site
In the last couple months, this community has taken to the SBN layout like ducks to water. Or like like Cam Janssens' fists to face. Or whatever else goes together easily.
But I just wanted to quickly point out an underutilized function, the 'Rec' button. When you see a Story, FanPost or FanShot that you particularly like, hit the Rec button at the bottom of the text. For Stories, it helps highlight the more popular ones in a special bar on the right side of the home page. For FanPosts and FanShots, they'll get a special spot at the top of their respective bars.
This allows you to promote the best writing, videos or whatever else it is that gets put on this site in a special spot. It also allows you guys to give a pat on the back to one another for particularly good work.
Likewise, within any Story, Post or Shot, you can click the 'Actions' button and 'Rec' a particularly insightful or funny comment. Once this has happened a couple times, that comment will change color, giving it special attention to anyone who reads the story and comments.
Once again, just a great way to give your fellow readers and commenters a pat on the back for coming up with something beyond the norm.
Feel free to give these buttons a try, I think you'll find that it's a great way to enhance the experience here.

I just had to.
It’s too damned funny NOT to!
Nah. I’ve done the “rec’d” thing here and across other SBN blogs. I especially “rec” anything that, directly or indirectly, tells ESPN to go suck a fat horse cock. I’m bitter like that.

Yeah, but it won't allow you to recommend your own stuff...
…or else every “Tomorrow’s Blues”-related posting would have at least one recommendation by now.

Love It
It’s great to see that you guys have taken to using the site’s features so well. When the sens blog launched we implemented the same idea as RFCC’s. We posted pictures and videos of the senators losing to the Leafs in the playoffs and then recommended them to the top.

If there is one word to describe us…it’s certainly not cute.
More like blindingly handsome.
