Pietrangelo Latest Prospect To Play In Peoria

Peoria Journal-Star beat writer Dave Eminian confirms that the Blues have assigned Alex Pietrangelo to the Rivermen.

Pietrangelo's squad was eliminated for the OHL playoffs last night by the Belleville Bulls, and the Blues apparently wasted little time getting the guy just named the NHL's top prospect by "Hockey's Future" assigned to Peoria in order to bolster the Rivermen for the Calder Cup playoffs.

In recent weeks, the Blues have added draft picks Jori Lehtera, Aaron Palushaj, and now Pietrangelo to the mix of players Peoria bench boss Davis Payne can draw from.
