Not so much for their playoff performance, because they were seriously FLAT. But just for this season. The rebuild has been successful… and we’re going to be better next year.
That being said, I need a drink and feel like throwing something.

Great Run for the Blues!
Too bad it ended this way…

Great team, great club, great fans

Ditto on that one.
He was our offense for a few games.

Oshie was great all year
Mason just didn’t play enough games in my opinion even if he did save us in the end
Mason and Oshie played almost the same amount of games...
Considering one’s a forward and one’s a goalie, I figure Mason put in enough time to take a bow.
I once shot a man just to see him die...then I got distracted and missed it.
for the season? Gotta be Mason

For the playoffs? Perron
It was Mason, until he let up that softie to end it :P
Seriously though, it’s either Mase or Perron, can’t go wrong with either

One more problem for the European Blues fans...
…we have not only the disappointment of the season being ended…
…we also have to find a way to get a normal sleeping rhythm back… We probably will wake up every night here… then realizing there is no game feed to look up, no nightly remarks for us to make at GT….

What?
How was Perron NOT one of the three stars for this game? It was one of the best games I’ve seen him play.
Biggest surprise for this go round?
PerOWNED? Mason? Happy Meal? The refs actually giving us A call?
Dum spiramus tuebimur
How many goals went through Mason's 5 hole this series?
Mason got us into the playoffs, but let in some soft goals.
Our special teams sucked.
We didn’t score on loogie.
Next season will be great assuming a few less injuries.
I'm regretting my first answer for that CLS 5 questions.
What do the Blues have to do to win? Special teams.

Don't forget the free agency deadline and the draft.
It’s more fun for the crappy teams, but it’s still something.

Too bad to see it end, but boy did they go out in style.
if you can say one thing, it’s just that these last three periods of the season, we saw what this team can be. You’ve got to be proud of the guys for all they’ve accomplished. Some guys made their statement to the league (Perron, Steen, Jackman, Weaver, for example) and some guys will know what they need to work on (Berglund, Winchester, even Backes).
Hell of a game and a hell of a season. It makes me that much more excited to see what this team is going to show us next.

Just got back from the game..
I put our fanbase up with anybodies. It was amazing tonight, and the respect our fans showed the Blues after the win was great. I will definitely miss this, but if the last two months is any indication I am ecstatic I got season tix a couple years ago. I hope to see some of you at the prospect scrimmage in June and hopefully next year we can confirm to the rest of the NHL what we already know…you will learn to fear the Note.

Well looking forward
Johnson and Pietrangelo we’ll actually have skill on defense, Kariya healthy for a full year possibly as good as we’ve seen him, Eller and Palushaj instead of the Cam Paddocks of the world, Brewer instead of…..someone, Colo for a whole year, more than enough talent in the prospect ranks to make a trade if the right deal comes about and all the young guys we already have get a year older/stronger/experienced. Motherfuck fuck fuck I’m excited for next year.
Not afraid to nitpick
I don’t know if I say this enough, but…
I love this team, this site, and the crazy folk that populate it.

Just got home...
And while this sucks, I actually feel better today than Sunday. We gave ‘em a hell of a fight at least. Things really came alive after our three two three two goals. And it was awesome to hear a large number of fans stick around to cheer the boys (and the Boyes) after the game. I think fans showed a lot of class, despite the national anthem hulabaloo. I know I showed class not punching the group of Canucks fans leaving the building with a tin foil Stanley Cup in the nose. Or especially the lone Canuck fan I encountered later further toward my car.
But I digress. I’m proud of the Blues, I’m proud to be a Blues fan, and I’ll be there in the fall for them.
Just got home...
Fucking Shit bastard Canucks (wow Roberta Luggie is pretty good) but still this fucking sucks…I thought we had magic (boy did I buy that Checkett’s line or what)—not that he’s a bad guy or anything BUT SHIT I thought we could surprise someone not go down like this. Mason was great but you can’t give soft goals in the playoffs but what great game he had. And not scoring on a 4 minute penalty in OT…we didn’t deserve the game at that point and did I see Barret Jackman revealed tonight! He sucked…but he’s a tough son of a bitch and if we only had EJ…fuck golf carts…why did Murray bench Bergie???He had a great season? Dumb move but what a great coaching job this year and shit…now I have to put up with Cardinal Nation while I bleed Blue all fucking summer long and…this rant still makes me want to see the ‘nucks go down in 4 straight. I’m picking Anaheim all the way. Cheers
Just got home from the game a little while ago.
Just shaved off my playoff beard to a trimmed goat. I am hurting like everyone else but, I will go to bed with thoughts and good dreams of what next year is going to be like. When we have a full and healthy roster that is going to include EJ and Pietro on the backend. “No golf for you Big Johnson!!!! We aren’t going through that shit again!!!!!” This was still one hell of a run and I am sad to see it end like this. This is just a step in the right direction making the playoffs. I think we will be in the Conference finals next year. Or at least I can hope.
164 days from today.
I tried to put the counter in the comments, but it didn’t show up in the preview.
