Putting SLGT on the map
Since it seems like Blues fans from all over the world end up here at SLGT to cope with their "addiction", I thought it would be interesting to see how the fanbase plays out on a world map.
Simply click the "Add" button in the upper right corner of the map, listing only your CITY & STATE. For the people outside the United States, use the same naming convention in relation to your country. Most importantly, make sure to use your SLGT username in place of the "Title".
Alright, time to watch this thing grow.
Oh, here is a direct link.
GO BLUES!

This thing is bleedin' awesome!
Can’t wait for our overseas friends to make the map too damn big to be able to read.

Oh yeah...
I wouldn’t recommend putting your home address on there, unless you’re not worried about a psycho Mike Danton fan knocking on your door.
Keep it to the city & state, people!

Let's go Blues!!!
Yes!
Great idea!!!!
I’ve already put my marker on Penzance, Cornwall, UK.

How did you become a Blues fan?

Cool...
A friend in LA kept on at me to watch a game because she thought I’d love it. When she used to talk about hockey, I, like most Brits, simply assumed it was FIELD hockey until she put me right.
I stayed up till about 4am watching a game – Blues v Red Wings – and something just clicked with me with the Blues. They lost the game – but whereas the Red Wings had the “sparkling” talent…the Blues had the “team” mentality – the Blues worked like hell for each other.
I watched a few more games – but no other team came close to the Blues in my opinion. LOL My friend in the US was sort of hoping I’d turn out supporting the Ducks but no such luck!
I’ll be staying with her in Orange County when I visit the US for the first time next season – and coincide my trip for when the Blues are out on the West coast playing Ducks, Kings etc. I really cannot wait to see them “in the flesh” for the first time.

We have to meet up for a pint or 10
I go to the Blues games too when they are here to play the Ducks. The Pioneer Club is an authentic German Gasthaus next to the Duck’s Arena. See you there next year
Excellent!
I had this awful thought that I’d be the only Blues fan there! I’m going with my friend – who is cheering for the Blues to make the playoffs at the moment and is, I think, a closet Blues fan – and a couple of other Ducks fans.
Definitely meet you there for a beer! I’m sure I can persuade Pam to wear a Blues jersey…so look out for two women in blue – one (me) will be in a Janssen 55 shirt!

I'll have my #5 jersey on
Bob Plager from 60s and 70s
I saw a father and son last game that had Blues jerseys on. Ducks fans are mellow so no fighting them like in Chicago.
I'm glad to see another woman here.
Look out guys our ranks are growing. That puts us at about 7 or so.
Careful.
We’re going to make everyone here start picking up after themselves and wearing PANTS on gameday.

The 1st time, I did it by ZIP and decided I would just put St. Louis.
I have since decided I will put it further south….
When I repost, can I select an image (or thumbnail) to go along with it?
You in the mapping Biz Mr. huntsville? Or GIS as they say.?
Thanks again, this stuff is amazing…I can’t keep up with all the new “mashups” on the Internets thingy…
DanGNR
Ok, it's gone.
Nope, I do work in an IT related field, but it’s not GIS. I’m as amazed at this thing as you are, it’s very very cool.
As for the image upload, I think you should be able to add an image to your marker. Try and it and see if you can… I can always delete it if you mess up.
Also, when you do add an image, it’ll add you to the scrolling bar at the bottom.

Representin' the land of fruits and nuts
Shakeytown aka Los Angeles. Actually Redlands CA. Deadlands as the kids call it. Old citrus town about an hour east of L.A. and an hour west of Palm Springs. Palm Springs where The King used to shoot his TV sets with his pistols. I’m smack dab in a valley pass below the San Bernardino Mountains, the pass leads to the lower desert.
Only famous person from around this neck of the woods is a golfer, Dave sumpin, Stockton I think it is. Actually he’s from Mentone really, another citrus town on the border of Redlands. The University of Redlands is also our claim to fame. Liberal arts college for the well heeled.
I spent
a Year of my life there @ U of R. Freakin loved it. (ok, I loved the weather.)
I didn’t care for a few other things, namely the cars and people (as in the vast # of them).
I miss Cuca’s the most, and of course, market night.
They done with “The 10” construction crap yet?
Ok, sorry for going off topic.
I am loving seeing where everyone is from on the map…so many places that you wouldn’t think of as NHL fans, let along BLUES fans….what a treat to see this. Thanks again Mr. Huntsville.
DanGNR
I'm just surprised about how quickly this thing blew up!
We’re definitely a scattered rag-tag bunch, aren’t we?
Now let’s see if our beloved site admins can work this into the final issue of SLGT. = > )

Cucas yeah baby
eat there a couple times a week. They have one now over on Wabash where the Stater Bros shopping center is. Bar too with more seating. Huavos Chile Verde and the shrimp taco salad. I just wish they had an outside patio.
IF you’re ever back check out Caso Mayo just east of there on Mentone Blvd for great Yucatan/Mex and they have a patio too.
The I-10 is finally done.
Very snazzy idea!
It makes me realize how far out of the loop I am.

As long as no one sprays us with weed killer, I do suppose that's ok.
So, are we like “Cardinals Nation?” I don’t know if so many of us pop up at away hockey games as do appear at away baseball games, but I for one take pride in the fact that I can annoy the crap out of people when I’m 600 miles away from home at multiple sporting events.

Exactly.
You can’t use no ho on us. We’re not Detroit fans or anything, who from what I understand go fo da ho every time.
Wait – you said hoe. Oops.

Neat idea. Should be a crazy scattergraph when all is said and done.
Though why does it ask if you’d like to post a link if, when you do, it doesn’t even show up on the marker? Weird, is all.
I once shot a man just to see him die...then I got distracted and missed it.
If you click on the marker, does it show up?
Or are you talking about at the bottom?

Wow, people are coming out of the woodwork
Or hiding anyway. I haven’t heard of over half these people. Where are they during games? We’d have thousands of posts without even trying if they all showed up. We’d have to break the gt thread into half periods to keep it from lagging.
yeah I thought the same thing.
