Saturday Links
It's good to be back after my exclusive 3 year tour of Europe, Scandinavia, and the sub-Continent.
How bout them links?
Blues News:
- I didn't know the Blues were on Twitter. Shouldn't I know these things?
- The P-D makes their Cup picks. Rutherford says Pens.
- Hullie's drums for sale? I can chip in 20 bucks if we want to start a SLGT band.
NHL News:
- A Pens/ '84 Oilers comparison. Imagine that.
- Puck Daddy brings a lot of link worthy stuff on the eve of Game 1: The Penguins bloggers' view of the Wings (not one Fuck Detroit), Detroit bloggers view of the Pens (Puck Father mentions Admiral Ackbar), and Ted Lindsay is a bitch. There's plenty more good stuff over there at Puck Daddy but we're about diversity at SLGT.
- "Andy" and I both wonder if Hullie ever tried the tobacco toss. I'd bet that he did.
- A monkey picks Pittsburgh.
- I hear there's a hockey game tonight.
Other Stuff:
- Jesse passes along a story about a really good cover of Hendrix.
- Things look different when you're hammered.
- Tennis spectator simulator.
- How long's it been since we've mentioned bacon? Too long, if you ask me.
Video:
If Plucky Duck says drinking is uncool, then it's uncool.
Wait.
I'll be back tomorrow. Gametimelinks (at) gmail.com if you've got something linkworthy.

man
i didnt realize a sip of beer caused you to trip like you’re on LSD, then dress like a homeless person.
but if it also makes you grow facial hair as fast as that prepubescent pig, i’m all-in for just sips from here on out.
/why am i up this early? zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Wow.
Even the higher alcohol content beers don’t do THAT. I have to drink like 3 Golden Monkey Tripels before I feel a buzz. Whatever that is, please, pass it over here.
The fact that it’s apparently a never ending bottle is also helpful.
Reporter: There`s a "stamp out the Beatles movement" underway in Detroit. What are you going to do about it?
Paul McCartney: We`re going to start a campaign to stamp out Detroit.
The Hendrix dude plays a couple blocks over from our Fire Station #8 in Hollyweird. I drop by when I can and toss some bucks in his hat. He’s probably the best cover Hendrix I’ve seen.
When we get bored at the station we roll out some chairs and just people watch. There are some strange folks that wonder those streets at all hours of the day. Reminds me of the bar scene in Staw Wars.

Yeah, I remember that episode of Tiny Toon Adventures . . .
even at . . . I can’t remember what age I was, maybe 11? 12? . . . I found it to be very high on the Unintentional Comedy Rating. Buster, Plucky and Hamton are obviously lightweights. I blame you, Steven Spielberg.
