Is this the superstar trade that the Kings were going for... and everyone thought that they meant Vinny? According to The Score.com's Twitter feed, and re-tweeted by Mirtle and Leahy, the Kings traded Jack Johnson (!) and the 5th overall pick to the Ducks for Chris Pronger. I am speechless. Yes, Pronger is still probably one of the best D men in the game, but to sell the future for him? Kudos to St. Louis for refusing to send Perron and some picks out there, and what a dumb move by the Kings. They have a good, solid youth movement progressing and are growing good talent. And they lose part of it for someone who won't stay with the org. for a good number of years. Here's hoping that it's worth it.
