IS THERE REALLY?
No new news on the Blues other then Davidson commenting on the Coyotes? no rumors? nothing at all?
I find it hard to believe that there really is nothing in the rumor mill about free agents, or trades.
Also what do you think the chances are of resigning Keith Tkachuk, he is a favorite of mine.
no as far as Paul Kariya is concerned I think he has been a major bust personally, mostly because of injuries

We've had the Tkachuk thread once or twice before it seems....
But yes, they should resign him. Otherwise you go after a Tkachuk type player and will probably have to spend more money to get a decent one. Besides, he’s only wanting a one or two year max deal. He’s stated publicly he wants to retire a Blue, and signing an HOF’er for 2-2.5mil is a GREAT deal. He may not be able to play at the level he did, but still 20+ goals a season isn’t bad, and he does provide veteran leadership in the locker room.

thats
what i think as well, as for the other posts havent read them just joined this last week, and sites kinda boring with just wednesday links type stuff, alot of it is because ive read it already. But i would be very disappointed to see number 7 go was always a favorite player of mine even before he became a blue

Walt's willing
to be the fourth-line center and play on the power play; I’d sign him to a reasonable deal. Kariya is still under contract, so he’ll be back regardless.

which is disappointing really, the Kariya comment was to make the post long enough lol, but i still think we need to trade Kariya to dump salary and go after someone who will be healthy

As far as news...
The draft is weeks away. Free agency doesn’t start until July 1. Prospect camp is in July. Nobody is making trades right now.
Pretty much the league shuts down during the playoffs other than you know, playing the games. After they hand that big silver thing out, it starts churning for about six weeks. And then late July/August hits when there will be very little hockey talk.

Walt . . .
should be given about $2MM to man the 3rd line and stand in front of the net for power plays in ‘09-’10.
Team leaders shouldn’t simply be told to piss off and die, especially if they’re seemingly willing to come back at a discount.

you may want to bookmark http://www.thefourthperiod.com if you’re really interested in NHL rumors. the site is especially active around mid-summer (free agency opens July 1st) and trade deadline time

Walt won’t cost too much and he’s a good player, even if he isn’t what he was on the Jets.
Also, anybody else see Walt on the coaching staff in a couple of years?

Walt
I agree, we need him for the leadership. He needs to keep all those young kids focused. He has never been my favorite player but he can contribute at times and has found a new desire to play with the current line up.
