Analysis/Thoughts - Orientation Camp Game 1: 5-3 Gold team

so yeah I'm watching the game right now, and the gold team is absolutely holding it down

the blue team can do nothing, the only inspired play i have seen so far from the blue team has come from brett sonne

Ian Cole hast done too much, but hasn't messed up either, so i guess if you think about it hes doing quite well

^^Kind of a cool article on him I didn't see on Game Time

Brett Sonne is hands down the best player on the blue squad for the last 15-20 minutes; idk about the whole game

does everyone else see the same game as i do??

Alex Pietrangelo is absolutely everywhere and Bret Ponich is going at the net like a bull in a . . well you know

Jake Allen is solid so far

I have yet to see Palushaj touch the puck?????

Lars Eller is nowhere to be found

Phil McRae slapped one home from up at the Blue Line - Haha check out his retarded bobble-head through the link

i could have missed good plays or bad plays

LIst what you saw or what you think, i havn't seen the whole game ad im not exactly watching religiously

Some of these kids look off-balance and there's plenty of falling down

Obviously are adapting better chemistry, means a lot to be able to play well with anyone

i didnt get to watch it

was it all sloppy? were they trying to do too much or something
palushaj disappearing is not good, hes supposed to be in competition to crack our lineup

Palushaj didn't touch the puck because he wasn't playing

He didn’t play on day 3 either. Didn’t even wear a Red Uniform, he was just nowhere to be found. Still haven’t had a reason why. Erik Johnson also didn’t play today, so the Blue team was basically without 3 of their 5 best players.

I think Cole played a really sound game watching it live, and while Sonne looked good, Cole was still the best player on the ice for the Blue team.

Basically nobody played badly. The Blue team was out classed because without Eller, Johnson, or Palushaj, they were basically heavy underdogs against Oshie and Pietrengelo led Gold team. Had a great time watching live, and enjoyed singing Al happy birthday

yeah thats odd

i dont know why hed be out

and you are right, while sonne was the most noticeable player Cole made no mistakes that i saw, its been said if you dont notice a defensemen then hes doing his job

its nice to hear they are seeing more offensive upside than expected from Cole as well, i just thought with all the speculation between college and pro that hed be looking to make more of a statement, but you cant count against someone for playing good smart and sound hockey

Eller was recovering from surgery, the other two were said to be out with the flu.

god damn flu. I was really looking forward to seeing Johnson and Cole on the same line. I was fully aware of Eller, just was curious why Palushaj and Johnson were out
