2 Ranger memories that stick out.

Volant Rodeo in NC, it’s a team challenge for running, rucking, repelling for SF. Rangers are loosing in the repel event so they start releasing their brake hands on their ropes so they can fall the last 30 feet and win the event, breaking many ankles doing it. Hard core.

Rangers are known for their “high & tight” haircuts and squared away uniforms.. Us USAF zoomies were know as rule breakers, always in UDT dive shorts, beards and long hair in the field. (ref the “Fuck Special Forces” comment in the the video). Rangers always wanted to get us alone and shower party our azz with razors to clean us up. Many tried but no one got shaved that I l know of.
