Another Colaiacovo in the system... sort of

The Bloomington (IL) Prairie Thunder (I just love that name) have signed goalie Paulo Colaiacovo, who is indeed Carlo's brother.

Apparently, Paulie Walnuts ain't half-bad, as his stats page at hockeydb.com indicates.

He'll be in Peoria's training camp before driving 35 miles east on I-74 to play in Bloomington this year, and will likely be the emergency callup to the Rivermen if Bishop or Holt (or Toivonen) gets hurt.

They're twins

I read that Carlo and Paulo are identical twins. (My source is Wikipedia so I don’t know if that’s really true. But that’s what it says).

I'm hearing . . .

that next week, the Chicago Wolves are gonna sign their long-lost brother, forward Rocko Colaiacovo . . . making the Colaiacovo exodus to the Midwest complete. (This may be a fabrication.)

Obviously the Colaiacovo parents were NOT afraid of the Italian stereotype when naming Carlo and Paulo. That, or the brothers are 1st generation Canadians, which is a lot more likely. Still awesome though.

Needs more Cola

First of all SWEET ZOMBIE JESUS is the interview chick cute.
Second, The Cola is becoming one of my favorite players for the blues, I hope we hold on to him after his contract expires next year. Cool to hear his brother is in the system, I gotta figure out how close some of the minor league teams are to me in southeast Missouri.
