anyone ever read the book "blue fire" about the blues?
i recently picked it up at amazon, i wasn't even aware such a book existed , its by Dave Simons who travels with the Blues for the 91-92 season, it's over 400 pages, i'm loving it so far, the 1st chapter got me bitter all over again, covering the Scott Stevens screwjob it even has comments from the "crooked" errr impartial judge in the case.... i'd recommend this to all blues fans

It sound's like it would be a intresting read.
But I try to avoid reading anything about the destruction of my first man-crush. It’s just too painful, even after all these years.
omg, that's so true. I was *so* happy when we signed Stevens,
not understanding the overall result it would end up having on the organization.
Shanny might still be my fave Blue/ex-blue.

"If you can get a fraction of (Boston's) Zdeno Chara, that's upside. That's what we try to aim at, rather than somebody that's average across the board. I'd much rather take a chance at something than just go for safe or average. You can pick up average players from the waivers."

Thanks for the rec
I’ll have to pick it up.
I’m half way through “The Rebel League” by Ed Willes, the book on the WHA. Great stories that inspired the movie Slapshot.
