2 More Years of BJ!

When I get the link I'll post it, but several people I follow on Twitter just posted that we've re-signed BJ Crombeen to a 2 year deal, no dollar terms known yet.

In 81 GP split between us an the Stars (heh, talk about some highway robbery), Crombeen's been responsible for 12 goals and 10 assists with an over -9 +/- rating.  I'm glad to see us still working on wrapping stuff up, but I have yet to hear anything encouraging about Polak.

I must admit to doing a double-take when I saw your headline...

You’ve inadevertently described every man’s fondest wish. :-D

Sorry about that… I probably should have just said “2 more years of Crombeen!” but would any of you fellas paid attention?

I thought so. :D

Man

I was so happy once I read that headline. Still happy that he resigned, but not as happy as two years worth of BJ. Oh well. Now we just need to wrap up this Polak deal.

Barret Jackman is my hero.

Good, bad, I'm the guy with the gun.

Polak

Its sort of silly to think he won’t be a blue next year. His negotiations are taking longer than expected but it happens. He’s not a big name player, he’s a rookie pretty much, he isn’t really a position people are looking for(defensive defenseman) there’s no reason another team would make him an offer. He really has no negotiating power with us since hes got no arbitration and an RFA. He’s probably holding out for an extra 250k or something and the blue’s will wait till he realizes no one else is going to make him an offer and then resign him for 1mil -1.25mil for 3-4 years.

Good to see beej back though, the whole team played hard last year and I really like knowing I get to see them again next year. We will still probably struggle to make the playoffs next year but even if we don’t, I don’t mind losing with players I like still knowing our time is coming.

BJ'S FOR EVERYONE!!!!!

or something.

Anyway, glad he’ll be back in the fold. Really enjoyed watching that crazy damn-near-toothless bastard play last year. Brings energy.

Free BJ

Would have been a good headline on an item about him not having a contract done by the start of the free agent signing period.

Of course, half the posters’ heads would have exploded after reading that.

I'm trying to keep my titles as little like Craigslist ads as possible.

You know, so that way I can play coy.

my titles

PLEASE call them headlines.

You don’t want to know what skimming the comments quickly changed “my titles” to in my head.

Let's go Blues!!!

Your mind is in about the same place as mine...

… when I read “bring it girl” as “bang it girl” in another thread.

Keystone Lake Zamboni falls through thin ice

A Zamboni took a dip in North America's largest groomed skating pond at Keystone Resort tonight.
A driver was grooming the lake at about 6:15 p.m., when the ice cracked and the 7,000-pound machine began to sink at about 6:15 p.m. As a precaution, skaters were cleared from another area of the 5-acre pond, resort spokesman Ryan Whaley said. The driver was not injured.
There was no word immediately on how soon the rink might re-open, but staff will examine the ice and remove the Zamboni Wednesday, Whaley said.
"They'll take it out and we'll see how it is," Whaley said of the machine and the safety of the ice around the crater.
With a lake that large, other areas could reopen immediately, he said.

Once it dries out, the machine is likely salvageable, he said.
Kenneth Waesche snapped a photo of the sunken ice machine when he stopped by Lakeside Village for a pickup game of hockey. His wife planned to do some skating.
Waesche said that the "thin ice" sign in the foreground of the photo was some distance away from where the Zamboni went in.
The lake is typically open from Dec. 18 to March. 28 depending on the weather, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
