Update: Okposo has been diagnosed with a mild concussion after leaving the ice on a stretcher following a hit from Calgary's Dion Phaneuf in Thursday's preseason game, NY Newsday reports. Recommendation: Okposo was motionless for several minutes before being removed by the on-site medical staff. The Isles took exception to the hit because they felt Phaneuf left his feet and delivered his shoulder directly to Okposo's head. Phaneuf's unwillingness to drop the gloves as the game progressed also irked the Isles, as they wanted him to back up his physical play. Fortunately, it sounds like Okposo is going to be OK, as he was cleared to fly with the team back to Saskatchewan afterward.
