The Minnesota Wild Creeping Me Out / Blues GDT
I just bought tickets online for the Dec. 26th showdown between the Note and the Wild up here in St. Paul. As I was going through the process I was asked to verify I was a human being and not a bot by typing in two words they provided.
What two words did the Wild (and Ticketmaster) provide?
"Pleau"
"Enticing"
I think I just threw up in my mouth a little.

What. The. Fuck.
If those tickets weren’t for a Blues game, I’d tell you to light ’em on fire now lest your soul be torched for eternity.
One day, David Backes and Albert Pujols will combine forces to become the most awesome piece of violent force known to man.
I am assuming that this is the GDT...
… for people who for whatever reason aren’t in the mood to watch the Cards/seriously need drinking buddies?
Count me in.
Reporter: There`s a "stamp out the Beatles movement" underway in Detroit. What are you going to do about it?
Paul McCartney: We`re going to start a campaign to stamp out Detroit.
The Cards are off tonight.
Round about nine though some of us might be rooting for a Cubs loss in San Francisco. I’m actually inclined to – ugh – root for them, so that the Cards can win it on their own
I once shot a man just to see him die...then I got distracted and missed it.
That would involve me staying up...
… to 10:15 to watch them lose. Too much effort.

probably closer to 2 AM for you...
to watch them actually lose. you’re right on though. not worth it, hildy.
I once shot a man just to see him die...then I got distracted and missed it.
I was waiting for someone to start one so
we’ll just take this over.
The Cards aren’t playing tonight.
Where the hell is everyone???
Oh, wait -
They’re not? I need to learn how to read the schedule better. I’m upset that I’ll miss their October games, but I’ll be damned if I’m paying the full $20 for 4 games in October, especially since they’re in the playoffs and I don’t have to do Extra Innings to watch the NLDS and NLCS.

Is it safe to assume that there’s no feed for tonight? I would have thought that MN would have televised a preseason game, but I suppose that you never know.

McDonald from Boyes and Eeej. Sounds like we’ve really got a step on them.
That building sounds dead silent. Even for a preseason game.
The big boys

Although I don’t think of Steen as a top player but hey, maybe it’s a breakout year
3-0...
Did anyone notice that Oshie is following Havlat’s twitter? (I feel dirty saying that)

Seriously.
He needs one, because by all accounts at training camp he has absolutely make the whole team fall in love with him. He’s just a barrel of joy right now. Where the hell was that last season?
Of course, if he can keep it up and not go all nuts this year, I’d love to see him make the squad so Lehtonen could be shipped back to Finland in a Happy Meal box with holes punched in it.
I’ve heard he feels at home there.
Reporter: There`s a "stamp out the Beatles movement" underway in Detroit. What are you going to do about it?
Paul McCartney: We`re going to start a campaign to stamp out Detroit.
That's Legace for ya.
His confidence is so fragile, he’s on top of a rainbow one day, and the next day he’s down in the dumps. You never know what you get with him, unfortunately. Of course, I still like the guy regardless.
by HuntsvilleBlues on Sep 24, 2009 7:45 PM CDT up reply actions
I love him too...
And from a friend who talked to him for a while at camp, he is all about moving forward and doing his best and just being absolutely cuddly (albiet, from what she said, incredibly stinky after practice). I think that making the team’d be a huge boost to his esteem, though he’s starting his first and only game tomorrow in Carolina – which pisses me off, because I’ve got to see him in warm-ups twice and sit on the bench. I’d really prefer to see his midget butt play.
He does have some pep in his step. During warm-ups, he’s got the quickest glove hand on the ice, and the quickest I’ve ever seen him move.
Reporter: There`s a "stamp out the Beatles movement" underway in Detroit. What are you going to do about it?

I actually talked with his brother while taking a piss.
I was drunk of course… It was at the all star game in Atlanta a couple years ago.
I kept rambling on about how he was our only hope, and he can’t get hurt, blah blah blah…
I had way too much to drink, and looking back I was definitely breaking the guy code of no talking while at the urinal.

… I find it unfair (not really) that I wasn’t able to go to that game and I freaking live here. Could have gotten tickets but nooo, fell through b/c the guy wasn’t sure if I wanted them or not. Dipshit.
It was made better by the fact that my dad was right behind one of the penalty boxes for the skills competition and didn’t take me… and the surprise he gave me was the stupid ticket lanyard and a ticket to the afterparty with Neyo.

If a d-man has a -2 in 10 min. or so TOI, does it really matter if he led a team in PK time? The PK’s specialized to KILL PENALTIES. Of course he’ll do ok out there.

They's lazy.
I’m fairly surprised that KMOX is being so cheap that they’re not sending someone to cover the game. Most of the teams this preseason have been broadcasting all, or just about all, preseason games. Not that it matters, because I can’t get the station down here 30 miles outside of Atlanta, but by God if I can’t get KMOX clear as a bell. Not that I’m complaining, because I’d rather listen to the KMOX news in the morning than whatever they broadcast here.
