Like they say in Roulette: There's nothing sweeter than a repeater...

Well, that was a helluva ride, wasn't it? And now, after an emotional OT win in Montreal, the Blues (les Bleus ?) have to travel to Canada's capitol and play again. It can be tough to play on back to back nights, but that's what our strength and conditioning programs are for. We've done it before, and we need to do it again. You know that winning streak for games outside of the US? We lengthened it last night, and we need to do it again. A stat that was brought up during the Habs game was interesting: the Blues have scored the first goal in 8 straight games. We need to do it again. The team defense? Do it again. The hard-hitting, physical play? We need to do it again, too.  So... in summary, we need to

The Ottawa Senators (a/ka The SNES) have been struggling this year. Actually, even before the season started, they had to navigate through the whole Dany Heatley mess. They ended up foisting shipping him off to San Jose and receiving Jonathan Cheechoo and Milan Michalek in return. Heatley is 29g/26a/+14 so far. Ottawa's acquisitions are a combined 21g/14a/ -16. Ouch. But that distraction has faded as the season wore on, and now the Senators find themselves on a bit of a hot streak. They are 26-21-4 for the season, 5-5 in their last 10.... but that includes 4 straight wins leading into tonight. In those games, they've allowed a total of 4 goals. That last was a 4-1 win over a very good Chicago team.

Needless to say, if you underestimate them, they have the tools to make you pay for that mistake.
