The Chicago Blackhawks sure do know how to fill column inches — and they don't even have to play to do it.

Blues news

  • Blues vs. Canucks tonight. Get some rest today, the game doesn't start until 9 p.m. CST. [ESPN]
  • The Canucks defense is pretty banged up. [The Canadian Press]
  • This headline sounds more badass than it is, but really it's just saying the David Backes isn't going anywhere. [Vancouver Sun]
  • T.J. Oshie, a natural center, is doing well in the middle. [St. Louis Post-Dispatch]
  • The most popular man on any team is always the No. 2. Remember when Keith Null was so much better than Kyle Boller who was so much better than Marc Bulger when in reality they all suck? Same with the Blues. Ty Conklin is not much better than Chris Mason — they're about the same. [Morning Skate]

Feeling like some music today, but I just can't wait for the road music. Luckily, Childhood Trauma is here to help out.

Party all you want...

But if you are a pro athlete you should be able to get good looking chicks. Those broads are nasty in the limo with the Blackhawks. Oh man, you know opponents are going to let them have it. So gay. So so gay

People need to have standards...

And if a Yahoo! Sports blogger is questioning your standards… they’re too low.

Trade?

Jamal Mayers for Kariya?
He’s definitely gritty and would make alot less. He hasn’t scored much in Toronto but then again Kariya hasn’t scored much either.
Would free up over 3.5 mil.
I don’t think they’d go for it.
Interested in what PPP has to say

I'd love to bring back Jammer.

But I think if we do, certain mods of this website might lose their Goddamned minds. Even if it IS Kariya leaving.

I know this'll kill all the Toronto folks...

… but I agree with Falconer and the guys at BWA. Antro is, by far, our best forward. He’s consistent, he is defensively responsible (as opposed to most of our forwards, who have no idea what playing 2 ways means… Army? White? Kozlov? Yeah – looking at you), and he is an assist-o-matic. I’ve only had one beef with him – his face-off percentage sucks for a top line center, but this wasn’t about the best center on the team, this is the best forward. Antro’s never been a liability out there, and I’ve never really found myself yelling at him out of anger, as opposed to Kovalchuk – who I wanted to throw things at several times last night.

That, and he is amazingly HUGE. Buddy is beastly, but he manages to be agile at the same time, and he’s not scared to shove people out of the crease.

Right now, he’s probably the only forward we could lose and I’d be upset about, and that includes Kovalchuk.

Reporter: There`s a "stamp out the Beatles movement" underway in Detroit. What are you going to do about it?

Paul McCartney: We`re going to start a campaign to stamp out Detroit.

WTF?

No snarky “fuck Detroit” comment after they lose a 2 goal lead in the last two minutes, and get dropped in OT??

I saw screw the glass house we live in! Throw the freakin’ stone!

Mmmmmmmmmmm . . . marinated rape.

If it tastes anything like sauteed rape, we’re in for a treat.
