Around SBN: NFL Players Ready To Welcome Gay Teammate

The kid from St. Louis whose dad played briefly for the Blues and the kid from St. Louis who grew up a fan of the Blues both get re-called from Peoria mere hours after their Rivermen coach gets called up to coach the Blues.

No fluffy storylines there, eh?

The pair will join the team for the three game road trip. Word is that WJC stud Alex Pietrangelo will re-join the team in California after the tournament ends.

There's something about your own players that makes a coach comfortable.

So when do we start sending a barge back and forth between here and Peoria on the Illinois/Mississippi river? Will Checketts pony up for that one? LOL

Sounds like a decent idea to me

Get some new blood in the locker room that knows how Payne works. Plus with a name like Yan Stasny he has to play good hockey.

The term "in my humble opinion", which they think adds weight to their statements rather than indicating , in reality, "these are the mean little views of someone with the social grace of duckweed"

Bishop?

Stasny I already knew was coming up to fill in for Paulie but any idea how (if at all) Bishop is going to be used? I certainly wouldn’t object to putting him in, given the play of Mason and Conks of late, but I can’t really imagine them starting him unless someone is injured.

Conkblock is tending to a family matter.

Unless the PJ-Star would lie to me.
