Favorite NES Games?
Castlevania III
Legend of Zelda
Super Mario Bros 1-3
Super Tecmo Bowl (I preferred this over the original, more teams, and season mode, plus there are up to date mods for the game on emulators)
Adventures of Lolo
Startropics
Metroid
Kid Icarus
Blades of Steel
Mike Tyson’s Punch Out!!
Baltimore Blast - 6-time MISL/NISL Champions
Let's go Blues!
Congrats again to Joe on his new gig!
As far as NES games go . . . obviously RBI, Blades of Steel, Ice Hockey, Tecmo Super Bowl and the like are on this list . . . but some others:
Baseball Simulator 1.000
Marble Madness (Yes. Marble Madness. Fuck you.)
All the Mario Brothers games
Ummmmm . . . Tetris?
Other than the ones already mentioned, these are the main ones.
St. Louis Game Time . . . I need another beer.
And I can also write things in 140 characters or fewer.
Fave games?
All the SMB games, Maniac Mansion, Darkwing Duck (actually, all of the Disney ones were pretty good), Castlevania II and III, Legend of Zelda & The Adventures of Link, Metroid, Bionic Commando, and Master Blaster. There’s something about Bionic Commando that cracks me up – I think it’s the random swinging around by a grappling hook.

Ghostbusters 2
Easily the worst NES game of all time.
And maybe the disappointing movie sequel as well.

Happy birthday, Nintendo! Now to play the new A Boy and His Blob and Wario Land: Shake It all day in celebration...
Speaking of which — my favorite NES games (in order):
1) The Legend of Zelda (classic — best game ever, now and forever)
2) Maniac Mansion (the first time I realized games could have real personality and story)
3) Super Mario 2 (such a departure from 1 and 3 — trippy and fun)
4) Solar Jetman (play this game — awesome physics and gratifyingly difficult)
5) Deja Vu (a great noir point-and-click about amnesiac detective Ace Hunter)
6) A Boy and His Blob (vanilla umbrellas, licorice ladders, coconut coconuts and more!)
7) Ice Hockey (Blades of Steel sucked then and sucks now)
8) Tiger-Heli (never was/am a fan of shooters, but this one had me hooked hard)
9) Bubble Bobble (a true two-player game — can’t beat it completely flying solo)
10) Marble Madness (great game — don’t be ashamed DK)
I can still play each of these today and love the hell out of them from start to finish. If only more than 5 of them were available on the virtual console… :(
I once shot a man just to see him die...then I got distracted and missed it.
NES Games??
SMB (all 3)
Rad Racer
TMNT
Spot (the 7-up character game)
Duck Hunt
Tetris
And thankfully, I still have a function NES that I can play these games on!! Bwah hahaha!!! (Those of you who have seen my “can has Blues win” LOL cat pic know of my hugemongous stash of gaming systems /grin)
Put your big girl panties on and deal with it!
