So it looks like the Boston Bruins are restarting their "Hockey Rules" ads. St. Louis could do well with a parody series using Louie:
The scene: at the concession stand. A fan is doing the power play dance in line while watching the game on the monitors and waiting for a beer. A power play begins.
Fan: WHOOOO! THE POWER PLAY DANCE WORKED!
Louie appears, shaking his head. He motions to someone off-camera and is handed a stick, whereupon he cross-checks the dancing fan out of the line.
The goal horn sounds and the screen cuts to black with the following words in white on it:
THERE ARE NO APPROPRIATE TIMES FOR A POWER PLAY DANCE.
The commercial ends.
Second Commercial: A fan is seen wandering the concourse in a gold practice jersey with the name "Plante" and the Number 1 on the back. He walks past Louie who notices the egregious jersey foul. He motions to one of the prospects, who steamrolls the wearer of said jersey foul.
The goal horn sounds and the screen cuts to black with the following words on it in white:
JERSEY FOULS WILL BE USED AS CHECKING TARGETS FOR PROSPECTS.
The commercial ends.
So, what does the assembled throng say to this idea? I suppose we could also have Louie be the perpetrator of these crimes against humanity in the commercials, but that seems too easy of a route.
