Speculation on Stan Lee's Blues superhero here...
I’m envisioning a Dazzler-like character, something having to do with converting sounds — specific sounds, i.e. music, blues music in particular — into energy.
Sound reasonable?

No, the Blues-based hero has the power of causing Depression...
Or at least the Power of Disappointment. He looks great, has an exciting role to play… then dies tragically in the playoffs fight to get to the villain’s lair, allowing the fucking Red Wings or Blackhawks-based heroes to avenge his death…

Ouch.....
easy Ninja….that cuts DEEP….
I still maintain Vladimir Konstantinov got what he deserved...If you can't handle that then kiss my ass......
"I've got a bad feeling about this..."
I'm just saying...
If Super-Blues-Lad-Guy follows the script, that’s what’ll happen.
I’d prefer David Backes as the team hero. Or even better, CAM SMASH.

The Blues' superhero already exists...
… his code name is “David Backes”.

We already had this hovkey comic
It starred Brett Hull playing against futuristic robot hockey players. And it was awesome.
Sometimes, I wonder why hockey came south of St. Louis, and then I realize, I'm south of St. Louis. Coincidence, I think not.
The Leafs are 1-0
Start printin the playoff tickets huh???

GameTimers were anxious for tomorrow nite.
Couldn’t resist, it just popped out of my fingers.
I would guess his girlfriend is the Key Master.
I just want to keep it quiet and do my talking on the ice
Great quote by the Gate Keeper.

Space for the video . . . without the video.
Well played, sir!
(I only kid because I care.)
St. Louis Game Time . . . I need another beer.
And I can also write things in 140 characters or fewer.
Who else enjoyed
watching Turco get shelled out there last night. It was beautiful.
No one knows why, but second only to eating the brains of the living, the dead love affordable pre-fab furniture.
finally got my buddy to turn on Versus here
and the Turco death dance was epic. The one goal Stewart had where he lured him out and got him off balance was funny chit. Turco looked like he was walking on marbles all game. Gonna be a long looooong season for them booger eaters from Chicago.
Just a chew toy for the hockey gods
I posted this on Twitter last night...
Just introduced my daughter to Ghostbusters. Guess which part was her fav.? Yep, the Stay Puft. Was this movie approp. for an 8yo? Ha.
I love how we watched it last night, then get more references in this morning’s links… AWESOME…
Can. Not. Wait. for tomorrow night…
BTW, is there a GTGT at the game? 1st interm?
PC Load Letter? What the fuck does that mean?
well
instead of an official video, since your in the busting mood, i goota ask this…

Wow, Johnson is # 5 in wins all time for Blues goalies...
that surprises me…off the top of my head, I would have guessed that Turek had sneaked into the top 5, but he is only # 7…the rest of the top 10:
6. Rick Wamsley 75
7. Roman Turek 66
8. Manny Legace 63
9. Vincent Riendeau 58
10. Glenn Hall 58
Honestly, it doesn't surprise me at all...
Brent Johnson was, and is, a lot better goalie than many of us want to give him credit for being.
He’s probably not a guy you hang your hat on for a Cup run, but I’d take him as my number two guy over pretty much any other backup in the NHL who isn’t named “Ty Conklin.”

i never said he was bad
but the dude wasnt here that long, you know. it just seems like someone who was a starter for only a few seasons shouldnt be the 5th best goalie (by wins) in franchise history.
St. Louis Game Time Fact: Morning links are part of a well-balanced meal.
SBNSTL Writing about the Blues in more than one line is tough.
Halak will be tied for 29th all-time after he wins his 10th game.
Assuming that Conks gets a win in the meantime to take sole possession of 28th.
There just isn’t a lot of franchise glory to be found in the historical goaltending stats.
Yeah, I noticed that too...
There are some outstanding goalies that wore the ’Note, but there are a lot of really horrible players who did service between the pipes…the fact that Halak will probably be in the top 10 after about two halfway decent years is testament to that.
And Brian, you are correct about Brent Johnson…he was/is a better goalie than he is given credit for…it’s just that for me, he somehow gets lost in the shuffle of goalkeepers over the last 15 years or so (Fuhr, Legace, Sanford, Mason, Turek, etc), you almost forget that he put in, what, about 4 years in goal, and actually did pretty well.
meh
i know a lot of people are intrigued by demitra’s scoring standing of 5th i think
most of those are not stats of greatness but of longevity. two questions of the trivias for the openning holiday blues weekend are these
who is the most recent blue netminder to start the most games in three straight seasons (i.e. by the starter in both name and in games played that year for three seasons)
and
who was the first blues netminder to start the most games in three straight seasons
buy a paper or do the google for results

Can someone explain something for me please?
At the beginning of training camp, all the talk was about moving Backes back to RW and McDonald back to C.
What happened?
Personally, I like Backes as a Power Forward type who can mix it up on the forecheck and I like McDonald down the middle where he can open it up a little bit more.
Did that just not work out the way they were hoping? I haven’t heard or seen anyone talking about it and am actually surprised that no one has.
Its weird... half the year my blood is red... but then the other half... it's blue... hm...
