NHL GameCenter streaming coming to PS3 with no blackouts

According the the NHL Press Release, today you can start streaming Gamecenter from your PS3 with ease. If you have the $169 version of GameCenter, you can watch any Blues game with no blackouts.

Did I misread that?

NHL GameCenter LIVE also allows subscribers to watch full-length and condensed replays of the games they missed (48 hours after they air, no blackouts)

Still this is great news for those of us with PS3’s. I’ve had enough of having to borrow my friends laptop to have an HDMI output.

You are waiting 48 hours to watch a game you could have already watched on our feed. However, you do get all the extra old stuff and every other game in the NHL. When I was in KC it was gold because there were no Blues blackouts. I loved that shit and it probably brought my GPA down a few points as well lol. Long time ago that seems. Getting old lol. Long story short, I am very skeptical of Center Ice anymore.

Bought the app last night

It had an early bug that blacked out all of the games for me, but it wasn’t just me, they were having the same problem with the console in the tech support office. So I ended up missing the Blues game, but that’s probably a blessing based on the radio feed I was hearing.

It is working now and it is a really smooth application. I would recommend it to anyone that has gamecenter and a ps3.

I dig the interface.

I also like the way that the classic and the archived games are sorted… solid app. The NHL’s doing well with this whole app thing. The GCL Android App rocks as well. Love the live video, even on my shitty little G1.

I LOVE it...

I want the Android App as well but it costs an extra 90 bucks aparently so i would rather not get it… considering i already pay 150 for the computer version… the extra ten is worth it cause ive been wanting to play it on my TV… its really Awesome so far…

Props to the NHL for once…
