As Of This Morning...
...both "Big Ben" Bishop and Jake "The Snake" Allen are in the top ten AHL goaltenders per the latest listing of AHL Goaltending Leaders.
Allen has the league's best GAA at a microscopic 1.35 (just ahead of old friend Curtis Sanford at 1.56), the best save percentage at 95.9%, and the most shutouts with three.
Bishop, with a solid 2.24 GAA and 92.8% save percentage, ranks tenth in the league.

GREAT SUCCESS!

St. Louis Game Time . . . I need another beer.
And I can also write things in 140 characters or fewer.
So, TB
What do you think Allen’s ceiling is? Those stats are impressive, but are they misleading or is he really that good?
I think he's really that good, personally...
…but, since he’s a rookie, there’s not a “book” on him yet around the league. If he can maintain these numbers throughout the season, then we’ll see.
I’ve liked what I’ve seen of him in person. Good on angles, quick glove, quick side-to-side and up-and-down, plays out at the top of his crease.

Thank you sir.
I think that the only time I’ve ever seen him play was the WJC gold medal game, and I don’t think that was a good example of his play.
Hopefully he can keep up the solid play.
